Rated 3 out of 5 by from Downgrade from the Lunch Crock If you haven't used the smaller Lunch Crock, then you probably wouldn't know that the CrockpotGo has a worse heating design than the Lunch Crock. The Lunch Crock heats more evenly from the bottom and sides while the CrockPotGo only heats from the bottom. Plus the bottom needs to be at a higher temperature to heat the food which causes the food at the bottom to get dry/burnt unless you have very moist food or don't leave the food inside for too long. The Lunch Crock doesn't have this issue even if the food's been inside all day long. The CrockPotGo is no better than the other cheaper electric lunchboxes out there. I went back to my Lunch Crock. I hope they make a larger version of it.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Pass on this version I wish I read the real reviews at the crock-pot.com site. Not all these "reviews" that're "part of a promotion" of which many didn't seem like they actually used this before making their "review". The uneven heating is noticeable. Mostly only the bottom gets really hot and the rest of the container only gets a bit warm. I tried warming my food in the lunch box for a few hours. The food at the bottom got dry and hard. If I shorten the time, only the bottom food is warm enough. If you don't need more capacity and don't just eat soup, the smaller Lunch Crock does a better job at the main thing these electric lunch boxes need to do: re-heat and keep your food warm. Also, I had 1 missing rubber feet too.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Uneven Heating Unlike the smaller round Crockpot lunch warmer, only the bottom of the base has the hot metal so the bottom of the inner container gets very hot. However, the heat doesn't spread very much to the sides of the container causing uneven heating. Depending on the food being put in, I've had the part touching the bottom actually getting dry/burnt while the sides weren't that hot. I also had 1 of the rubber feet missing. They're easy to pull off. Since the CrockpotGo doesn't actually come in a box itself (just slipped through a paper roll with mostly everything including the feet exposed), I'm guessing the feet gets rubbed off/caught on something while being moved around the warehouse before being put into a shipping box.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Uneven heating I also wish I would have read the reviews here first. I had the lunch crock for 17 years, yes it lasted that long! The only reason I had to get a new one was because my cord dry rotted. I bought this design because I thought it would be easier to take other things besides soups and pastas. I am disappointed in the heating. Like others have stated, the bottom gets super hot but the top gets a tiny bit warm, sometimes still on the cold side depending on what you pack. I would recommend buying the lunch crock instead of this.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Not as good as the Lunch Crock I got this from Target. It also had missing rubber feet like the others here. It's surprising that a company that makes slow cookers and the Lunch Crock where the heating base is lined with metal to more evenly spread the heat decided to only have the bottom be metal for the CrockpotGo. The bottom of the inner container gets much hotter than the sides. I had food where the bottom ended up being hard and hot while the rest was luke warm. The Lunch Crock did much better. It feels like the CrockpotGo was made by a completely different company. Why are there 3 LEDs if they just indicate if it's plugged in (all off or all on)? I can see people thinking there's a heat level control associated with the lights before reading the manual. Should just have 1 to avoid confusion.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Could be better I have some issues with the product, but it does what it needs to. I like the size as I chose it for that over the other model. It does warm my food. Onto the issues, there seems to be some manufacturing issues that just slipped through. It is missing one of the rubber footings making eating awkward. While it does heat up my food, i have noticed that it heats unevenly from the bottom. My unit also came with some cosmetic scuffs on the lid, but nothing that was overly noticeable. The manual for the product is not the best, no relative warm times for how much you fill it up. I've been warming up my food for 2 hours if the box is full and around 1 hour to 45 minutes for when the box is half full. Overall it's an alright product, would definitely wait for a better version or some time for the manufacturing issues to get resolved.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Design Flaws I got this because the 20 oz Lunch Crock was too small for my lunch. However, based on initial use, I saw at least 2 issues so far: 1. After washing the inner lid, water gets trapped inside. You can hear it swishing around when shaking it. Seems like there's a cavity inside the lid. It's difficult to get it all out. This has the potential to grow mold and bacteria inside the lid. 2. Only the bottom of the warmer has the metal heating element (the sides are just plastic/air gap) so the bottom of the inner container gets much hotter than the sides causing uneven heating of my food. In comparison, the other Lunch Crock warmer has metal all around to spread the heat so the inner container gets evenly heated. Also, mine came with one of the rubber feet missing. Other than the larger capacity, this has been a downgrade from the Lunch Crock. I'm returning this.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Heat doesn't spread evenly Seems like Crockpot copied those other cheap electric lunchboxes where there's only a heating plate on the very bottom of the warming base instead of lining the entire base's inside with metal like their slow cookers. The bottom of the inner container gets very hot but the sides are barely warm. The heat does not spread well. I guess it's easier to remove the inner lid because the top of the inner container isn't hot at all (ie. pull the lid while pressing on the inner container). However, I'm left with unevenly heated food where the bottom is hot and the top is slightly warm or still cold. Not a worthwhile tradeoff. If I leave it in longer, the bottom food can become very hot and hard. As far as heating goes, the 20 oz Lunch Crock is better but it has too little capacity. Too bad the 24 oz size seems to be discontinued (still smaller than the CrockpotGo but it'd have more even heating).
