Hello! The lid should only be latched for transporting purposes. Latching the lid during cooking will not allow it to expand under the heat properly and may cause the glass to shatter. If you have any more questions or concerns, please reach out to us via https://www.crock-pot.com/support/contact-us or through LiveChat. We’re available Mon.-Fri. 9 am -5 pm Eastern Time. My husband and I bought this product at our local Walmart on 03/04/2024. When we got home, after washing it out, we added potatoes and carrots with water and butter and set the timer for 90 mins and they didn't cook at all. Could you help me troubleshoot?

Hello! In our units, both low and high stabilizes at 209°F. The difference is the time it takes to reach that temperature. Low: 7-8 hours to reach the simmer point. High: 3-4 hours to reach the simmer point. If you have any more questions, please reach out to us via https://www.crock-pot.com/support/contact-us or through LiveChat.
