Care & Maintenance
    • ALWAYS turn your unit off, unplug it from the electrical outlet, and allow it to cool before cleaning. Dishwasher safe parts can be washed in the dishwasher or with hot, soapy water. Do not use abrasive cleaning compounds or scouring pads. A cloth, sponge, or rubber spatula will usually remove residue. To remove water spots and other stains, use a non-abrasive cleaner or vinegar. As with any fine ceramic, the stoneware and lid will not withstand sudden temperature changes. Do not wash the stoneware or lid with cold water when they are hot.
Warranty
1 Year Limited Warranty. See Instruction Manual for Additional Details.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from great for old ones mine is great but the one I bought for my daughter in Nj when I started thinking about a new one. I called QVC and had one sent to her...I did not see it on tv just asked if they had a larger qt. they had a 7 qt One month later when I got to her house from Texas I wanted one for me, but QVC did not have any more so I e mailed crock pot and ordered one for me ..my daughter does not.have a off switch from qvc but mine does....funny my old 4 qt is about 40 years old...hate to tell you but I got it for free when I opened my checking acoount....will never buy anything but the Crock pot original crock pot....I just love the old ones no bells and whistels....

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Does not cook slow at all. I own the SCCPVC709-S 7qt. Programmable Stainless Crock Pot. It cooks waaaay too hot. Example: I put my chili ingredients on high and in about 1.5 hours it is bubbling and boiling. I turn it down to "keep warm" and it continues to boil. I take the lid off and it continues to boil. My husband ruined 2 roasts last week that were charred after being put on the "low" setting for the day. I guess we'll be replacing this with another brand. The size is great, but I can't leave it unattended so it really isn't very useful. My old crockpot (5 qt) I had for about 10-12 years was great, but not big enough for our large family.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Cracked stoneware I resorted to this crockpot for ease of use and the programmable ones seem to quit working. I was very disappointed when I found my honey mustard pork meal completely ruined because the stoneware was cracked and all the juices ran out the bottom part of the outside unit all over my counter and some had burned against the inside unit. My meat got burnt in the area of the side crack. I want to get another crockpot like this but am worried the stoneware will crack again. I have a 5 quart crockpot that we received for a wedding gift almost 27 years ago and that stoneware has never cracked. But I need a larger crockpot for larger meats and meals.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awesome Awesome Crockpot Bought this several years ago and knock knock wood wood HAVE NEVER HAD A PROBLEM with it !!! I have cooked everything from homemade baked beans, a 9 lb pork butt bone in roast for bbq pulled pork sandwiches, several types of roasts for Mexican food etc... Whole chics; many many dif recipes and never had any probs! unlike other crockpots I've had this is ABSOLUTELY the very best crockpot I have ever bought and still use weekly! It is still going strong even after havin for so long and using so very much! Love this crock an everyone in my family has one too an have also never had any probs with theirs.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great item, except for one issue I bought this crockpot over a year ago, and use it almost weekly. In fact it stays out on my counter, I use it so often. Its big enough for a whole chicken or roast along with vegetables for family meals. I only have one problem with it. The control knob inexplicably goes from Low to High to Warm which makes no sense whatsoever. Even after using it many times, I sometimes forget and turn it "all the way up" to put it on High, only to come back and find out my food hasn't been cooking because its on Warm instead. The control knob is completely counterintuitive and has accounted for my meal not being done on time more than once.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from What happened to my favorite appliance? I have had only 2 crockpots for about 40 years. YES, YES that many years and have LOVED, LOVED IT! Great meals I could always count on. Recently the 6 qt. Oval stoneware bowl cracked. So wanting and needing a new one I went shopping and looked for a new one. In reading reviews, many said it cooked too hot, but some didn't seem to have a problem. And because I loved it so much I decided to take a chance! The NEGATIVE REVIEWS WERE RIGHT. So sad , but you screwed up a great product. I guess in the name of more money. It wrecked a great meal my INSTANT POT COOKED PERFECTLY. BUT I WANTED A CROCKPOT! This is one very unhappy ex-customer!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Simply the Best! AZ summers and using the oven don't mix. My kitchen becomes a sauna. Crock-Pot has always been a reliable and delicious way to cook, but absolutely essential to me at this time of year. I was so excited to purchase this beauty yesterday! My old one had finally given out after years of use, so I bought a similar model. Tonight we're having a pot roast, something we love, but certainly something I couldn't cook for hours in the oven! As always, I know that I'll be really pleased with the results. Crock Pot has always been dependable, quality cookware that never disappoints. Low and slow, I'm getting great steam and looking forward to an enjoyable summer of meals with my new crockpot...in a cool kitchen!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from What a great cook I've become! We went for the 7 qt. if I'm going to cook I want to make a lot of good food. We're so glad to have purchased this product. First thing I did was to heat water on "low setting" and learn the temps than I shut it off, let it cool down, then went to the "high setting." Last week I cooked a 6 lb. beef pot roast, carrots, potatoes, etc. following the enclosed suggestions. Ran it for 5-6 hours...came out awesome and soooo tender. Got 5-stars for that. New Years Eve, we did a 13 lb. turkey. I took the skin off, carved the breast off, separated the sections and laid it in the pot with all the seasons....was awesome...parts fell from the bones....another 5-stars. Best thing I bought for the kitchen and me!

We will be more than happy to answer your question!

On all CrockPot slow cookers, both High and Low stabilize at the same temperature 209°F.
Due to the proximity between the heating element and the exterior of our slow cookers, it is normal for them to get quite hot on the outside. The heating element wraps around the sides of the unit.
