Care & Maintenance
    • ALWAYS turn your unit off, unPower Cord it from the electrical outlet, and allow it to cool before cleaning. Dishwasher safe parts can be washed in the dishwasher or with hot, soapy water. Do not use abrasive cleaning compounds or scouring pads. A cloth, sponge, or rubber spatula will usually remove residue. To remove water spots and other stains, use a non-abrasive cleaner or vinegar. As with any fine ceramic, the stoneware and lid will not withstand sudden temperature changes. Do not wash the stoneware or lid with cold water when they are hot. To clean the Temperature Probe, use a damp cloth and warm, soapy water. Make sure to dry thoroughly. Do not immerse the Temperature Probe in water.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Big. Gets HOT on the outside I got this a few weeks ago and it’s my favorite way of cooking. Steaks last night, for example, were perfect. My dad raved about how tender they were. Pork chops a week ago were meh, cooked great but a poor recipe choice by me. 7 liters is big, there is plenty of space to feed a family. One recommendation I have is to start with water that’s already above your target temperature. I use an electric kettle but a stove would work too. When you put in food the water temperature will decrease about 10*F. If you wait for it to heat the water, the outside will get hot, very hot. I measured 140*F yesterday and it only had to get from 132F to 140F. I’ve never had a crock pot get so hot; it seems mildly dangerous. Also it takes very long for warm water to get hot—save your time by preheating.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great size! Crockpot - SLOW COOKER/SOUS VIDE Stsinless Steel in 7QT is a beast! I've thrown countless bone in pork shoulders in to slow cook in the past and have always had to stick with the smaller sizes, with this I was able to size up and fix enough pulled pork for a very together of 15 people and still had a bit left over. I'm fairly new to the sous vide scene, so while I've not toyed with it much, what I have tried has been successful, full of flavor, and oh-so-easy! This has become a countertop consistency in our home as we both work full time jobs and love to have dinner waiting for us when we get home. You can't go wrong with Crockpot's - 7 Quart Slow Cooker/Sous Vide

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fix & Forget During the Fall and Winter season I love making meals in my crockpot, my favorite things to make are soups & stews. The thermometer is perfect for checking meats so I don't have to keep opening the pot. I haven't tried the sous vide yet but its on my list of things to try soon since grilling season is almost finish. 7qts is the perfect size for me, I can make a meal just for me or for everyone. I have no dislikes, I tried to find one and there wasn't anything to gripe about. Overall if you want to upgrade your crockpot game this is the appliance you should invest in.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Wonderful so far! My fiancée and I were both really looking forward to using this slow cooker when we first received it. This time of year (late September) we start to make more comfort food, such as roasts and stews and soups and casseroles. We've had a lot of fun experimenting with new and different recipes while using the sous vide feature. Absolutely delicious! Our latest is a chicken tikka masala that came our more tender and flavorful than I've ever had. Cleanup is easy and the instructions and digital display help to make everything user friendly. We're really looking forward to finding more new recipes and the delicious meals to come. It matches the kitchen well and looks great on the counter between uses. Would definitely recommend.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from More then just your average crockpot Of course I've have or used crockpots before but, it was the "sous vide" aspect that I was really looking forward to using. My first use of this item I used it as a regular crockpot on pot roast. As I expected it came out beautifully. My second attempt at using this item I used the sous vide feature. I used it for some chicken. This was my first foray using a sous vide and I couldn't have been happier. The chicken was cooked perfectly, it was juicy and flavorful. I love that this crockpot is able to do multiple things. I also like the locking lid that was a nice bonus. This looks like it is very well made and yet not heavy at the same time. I do wish the crockpot was deeper and could hole more other than that it works great!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Easy and Convenient Very handsome looking slow cooker. Dial/display is very easy to read and understand. Cook time was accurate as well as temperature (measured with included probe). Cooker insert is on the heavier side which appears to be of high quality. Stainless steel exterior is very attactive. Followed a recepie with included cookbook. Easy to follow instructions and the stew turned out perfect.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Not up to normal caliber Okay, most of my grievances are all aesthetic, not functional. When I got this, it looked used or almost like a fake. There were fingerprints along the lid. The control panel is literally a little crooked - it was installed crooked. There was a scuff on the front of the slow cooker and looked like there was some grease or something on the inside. I cleaned it up and have tried it and have been fairly satisfied, but haven’t tried the sous vide function yet. I like that it is large and overall aesthetically pleasing. Works well.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very Impressed I am very impressed with this Slow Cooker Sous Vide SS 7QT machine. It's very simple to use, holds a lot of food and clean up is really quick and easy. I like that you can either set the hours or set the temperature to use the thermometer that comes with it. But, this not only slow cooks, it's also a sous vide machine, and comes with a recipe book, as well as sous vide bags to get you started. The lid comes with locking handles, which makes it great for travel. This is a great product that will get used over and over again.
