Hello! Thanks for reaching out to us. Regarding the recent question about the unit not turning off after 4 hours on the warm setting, we apologize for any confusion. Our unit is designed to automatically switch to the warm setting after the cooking cycle completes. However, it's important to note that we do not recommend leaving the unit on the warm setting for more than 4 hours. We hope this information proves helpful, and if you have any questions, do not hesitate to contact us directly via https://www.crock-pot.com/support/contact-us or through LiveChat. Hello! On your slow cooker, both High and Low stabilize at the same temperature 209°F; it is just a matter of how long it takes to reach the simmer point. On High, it takes approximately 3-4 hours, whereas, on Low, it takes approximately 7-8 hours to reach the simmer point. On the Warm setting, your slow cooker will achieve 165-175°F. Please remember that these are all approximate temperatures and they can vary depending on what you are cooking. The unit can also boil on High and Low. We do recommend that you always fill your slow cooker 1/2 - 3/4 of the way full, including at least one cup of liquid or sauce. You may have to adjust your cook times accordingly, especially if you are using older slow cooker recipes, or adapting regular recipes for slow cooker use. This will prevent the food from drying out and burning. If you have any more questions or concerns, please reach out to us via https://www.crock-pot.com/support/contact-us or through LiveChat. Hello there bakerbill99! Thanks for reaching out to us. We will be more than happy to answer your question! Stoneware gaps were designed that way to prevent the stoneware from breaking when it expands because of the heat. Advanced design now allows for a more effective release of steam from the cooker, which prevents any buildup of pressure and/or damage to your lid. There should be no concern if you see a small gap between your lid and the crock itself. Hello there! Thanks for reaching out to us. We will be more than happy to answer your question! We regularly employ rigorous third-party testing to ensure that our Slow Cookers meet or exceed all applicable laws, regulations and industry standards, including those related to lead content. Our Slow Cookers are safe 100% to use. The glaze of our ceramic pots is a silicate made of quartz, feldspar and clay. The glaze is covered over the pot, fired at high temperature to melt the glaze and then cooled down. The glaze liquid is then turned into coating the same as glass film on the surface of the pot. This does not contain PTFE & PFOA. The FDA specifies allowable amounts of lead, cadmium and other substances. All the glazes that we use meet or exceed FDA requirements. For any further information, we encourage you to please reach out to us via https://www.crock-pot.com/support/contact-us or through LiveChat. We’re available Mon.-Fri. 9 am -5 pm Eastern Time. Hello! Once the water has reached the desired temperature, the unit will beep twice, the preheat light will turn off, and the START light will begin to blink. First, remove the Temperature Probe from the Lid Opening without disconnecting the Probe Jack from the Control Panel. Then, remove the Lid and submerge your sealed ingredients. Once your food is submerged and covered, insert the metal Probe again through one of the Lid Openings. Ensure the Probe is not piercing any of the sealed bags and is only touching water as it is meant to monitor and maintain the water temperature. Press START to begin cook time.
