Care & Maintenance

ALWAYS turn your unit off, unplug it from the electrical outlet, and allow it to cool before cleaning. Dishwasher safe parts can be washed in the dishwasher or with hot, soapy water. Do not use abrasive cleaning compounds or scouring pads. A cloth, sponge, or rubber spatula will usually remove residue. To remove water spots and other stains, use a non-abrasive cleaner or vinegar. As with any fine ceramic, the stoneware and lid will not withstand sudden temperature changes. Do not wash the stoneware or lid with cold water when they are hot.

It's like an essential cooking items that everybody must have at home! And until this days no one can beat the quality and the price of crock pot brand! Even other big brand try to make slow cooker but none can beat crock pot brand! All my food that I cook in this 4.5 quarts is perfectly tender. Either you want to make pot roast, chicken or even porridge everything come out perfect! Easy to clean, you also can use liner in it. 4.5 quartz is perfect for 5-6 people eating in our household. Just put your ingredients and 8 hours after that your food done with great taste!

Rated 2 out of 5 by Barefoot 6275 from Loud popping noises after use I have used and worn out many Crockpots over the years and was hoping to replace an older one with this Crockpot 4.5 Quart manual one. During the first use, I discovered that every bit of it gets extremely hot, unlike others I have used. But the worst was after I unplugged it, and removed the crock portion the unit started making extremely loud popping, sizzling noises that could be heard in another room and over the television set. These noises are troublesome as I don't know why the noises occurred. I have never had a Crockpot make such noises before. The food came out good and well cooked, I am just concerned about the unit possibly causing a fire due to the noises it made when unplugged from the wall. These noises went on for over 15 minutes.

IT works great and I love the light blue color, and the great design. It is so easy to clean, and the quality is fantastic. This slow cooker has 3 manuals heat controls, high, low, warm. I also love that the warm setting keeps my food warmed at the Idea temperature until I am ready to serve my family. The stoneware bowl Is removable and oven safe. Both the glass lid and the stoneware are dishwasher safe. I have a busy schedule and this Crock-pot makes home cooking meals easy and nutritious for my family. I get alot of compliments on it.

It has a warming option for when your food gets done it can stay warm for whenever you decide to eat which is what we do since our work schedules are all over the place. We even make desserts in ours! Our favorite meals to use it for are stews, soups, rice, soup beans, and onto roasts, pork chops and even peach/apple crisps or dumplings! Yummy! Now I've made myself hungry by thinking of all that delicious food. If you're looking for a crockpot that'll last a long time I strongly urge you to give this one a try!!

Put all the ingredients in it, plugged it in, turned it on and left for work. Came home and nothing cooked in it! The crock pot doesnt work anymore! Target won't accept the return because it is outside of their window. Such a shame, only used twice.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Albee27 from I love slow cooking! I like crockpots a lot more than those instant things. With a crockpot, you can taste your stew, or soup and season it as needed. You can add rice, or veggies at the end, so they don’t overcook. So, I got this 3.5 qt. Model because my old 2 qt. Crockpot didn’t make enough soup so I could have enough leftover to freeze. This one holds 4 qts. at the very max, but they recommend not filling it to more than 75% full. So, it can make 3 qts., which is perfect. Also, because it’s round, instead of oval, like my old 2 qt. one, it’s almost the same size (see photo). The lid on mine was a little wobbly (turned 90 deg., it’s ok). Also, the dial goes “low, high, warm”, instead of “warm, low, high” like my old one. But, I’m nit picking. Overall, it’s great.

Liquid boils on Low after 1-2 hours as if it were on High even when pot is 1/2 - 3/4 full of liquid. (BBQ sauce was the liquid.) Doesn't seem right. Shouldn't a Low setting result in a slow cooking over 6+ hours rather than at a boiling level after 1-2 hours? That doesn't say "slow cooker" to me!

I like the size of the 4.5 qt when making a smaller serving. If I make a smaller quanitity in the larger pot, it does not turn out as well because it spreads out to cover the bottom of the pot. I will save the larger pot for when I am cooking for a larger crowd. The reason I gave 4 stars to the 4.5 qt crockpot is I wish it had a timer on it. However, that it easily solved by adding a plug in timer, Overall, I would say it is a nice addition to my stockpile of appliances..

My new Crockpot, a sleek, smaller model, is a welcome addition. I would say this model works best for 1-2 people for a meat dish, or a slightly larger number for a side dish/dessert. My roast was cramped but still cooked well. My favorite feature, which isn’t on my vintage version, is the warm setting. Very handy! The only possible fault I see in the design is the plastic handle plate on the lid, which can get water under it and needs to dry out properly. I simply kept it out on the counter to make sure the water evaporated and didn’t leave anything funky under it. Nice matte white color, doesn’t look too out of place on the counter. Much lighter than my old one, good for weaker hands. Nicely done, Crockpot!

The color and matte texture is SO aesthetically pleasing! It works like a charm as well. The stonewear is easy to clean and the lid fits snug. I love the ease of using this crockpot and being able to throw everything into it and letting it cool all day while being able to do other things. The only thing this is missing is a timer, but since timers are easily accessible on my phone or stove, it's not a big deal. Overall, I am very happy with this crockpot!

Mal function. I bought it from target but they don’t want to replace it because I didn’t kept the box . So now have to contact the crockpot directly. So annoying. I’m reading reviews and apparently I’m not the only one having the same type of issue , others people have done used it for a couples of times , mine didn’t work not even one time

And it fits nice on my kitchen counter. I don’t have much cabinet space or counter space this is amazing that it fits perfectly on my counter and still giving me a bit of space. The color is amazing also. It was an easier clean up also compared to my old one. Only thing I wish it had is a timer but another that I am very happy with it.

I love seeing the leaves change colors and the transition into coats and boots and my all time favorite is comfort food classic crockpot slow cooker meals. The 4.5 Quart classic crockpot slow cooker is nice and wide and it also has warm settings in addition to high and low adjustable temperature. It is very easy to use and even more simple to clean. I highly recommend the 4.5 Quart classic crockpot slow cooker that I’m going to order a second one for a friend who loves comfort food as much as I do.

I especially enjoy making chili’s and soups in this crockpot. It’s the perfect size for me. It comes with an instruction manual and simple manual knobs to use. The crock is pretty nifty because it is not smooth, it has ridges. The ridges may aid in heat but what I like is easy to handle for washing. Since it’s all white, it matches most decor.

No complaints! We did like the color (think very light robin egg color) and the design. However, we were a bit disappointed with the quality of the unit. The "outer shell" material feels thin and flimsy, which we didn't expect from a brand like crockpot. There's definitely room for improvement.

The house smelled so good all day long! The unit heats up quickly and maintains the heat perfectly. I’ve used both low and high setting, and also love the “warm” setting to keep soup and chili warm until ready to serve. The color is also just so beautiful, almost too pretty to put away!

I've loved and use Crockpots for a long time, but the shiny-sided ones are always a pain to clean - somehow oil never seems to be fully removable from that slick surface. Not so with this one! Manual is all I need - I'm only ever either a) putting something on low heat and then leaving it while I'm working or b) putting something on high heat in a last-ditch effort to cook it quickly and not be eating at 11 pm. This is the same quality and convenience that you have in other Crockpots, just in a more (to me) aesthetically pleasing package!

It has 3 settings low, high, and warm. I made chicken taco dish in it. I cook for 2hrs on high then 4hrs on low. It heated the dish evenly throughout. I did use a liner in the crockpot for easy cleanup, since the pot part is ceramic. Overall, a good basic crockpot

The second I made while I was home. Both recipes require low setting, this unit gets EXTREMELY hot on the low setting to the point the liquid was boiling and the outside of the unit is so hot it’s a hazard. I’m very disappointed since the size is perfect and I was looking forward to the quality I’ve heard about from the crockpot brand.

I am not real sure about the finish on the outside .When it was cooling down after use the pot was making a popping nose as it cooled. But overall a great product a whole chicken will fit inside.!!

After not having much time to make a decent dinner because of evening activities after school I decided yes a crockpot would be perfect. This is the best thing ever! The color is beautiful, almost a sea foam green and the sand texture really is beautiful. Won't show fingerprints as easily and a smooth and shiny one. Just the right size for a nice pot of soup.

The functionality is super simple with just 3 settings. I’m able to put a meal on in the morning or early afternoon and dinner is ready to go when I’m finished work. I’ve always found the genuine Crock Pot brand to be exceptionally reliable and well made. This size crock is big enough to make a pot of stew or soup which will feed four people and still have some left overs. A kitchen must have!

I started taking it out of the box on our kitchen table, and the top slid out and crashed onto out tile floor into a thousand pieces. The lid was sitting on the top of everything, not wrapped, not fastened down or anything. I am so disappointed, and I can't believe it was packed like that. I was so excited to find one the size I wanted, but what a waste of money.

It's a perfect size when hosting a little get together for cheese dip or small appetizers. The crock pots is made very nice and the quality is excellent. I know it is a kitchen appliance but is pretty and looks great in my kitchen. The vintage looking style and color is lovely. Also, the size is perfect. It is big enough to cook a meal for my entire family. It also makes the vessel easier to clean even if you put in the dishwasher because it doesn't take as much space. I also like that the stone ware is oven safe.

It's very basic and could not be any easier to use, just plug it in and turn the dial to your preferred cooking setting, then forget about it for a few hours while it cooks up a delicious meal. We have made a few meaty dishes in it, a couple of different types of soups, and some cheesy dip. Perfect food every time we use it! Easy clean up as well. We like it very much.

On your slow cooker, both high and low stabilize at the same temperature (209&deg;F); it is just a matter of how long it takes to reach the simmer point. On high, it takes approximately 3-4 hours, whereas, on low, it takes approximately 7-8 hours to reach the simmer point. Please remember that these are all approximate temperatures and they can vary depending on what you are cooking. We hope this helps.
