Care & Maintenance
- Cleaning should only be carried out when the the Express Crock is cool and unplugged. Allow the Multi-Cooker to completely cool before cleaning. Do not use the removable Cooking Pot on the stovetop, inside a microwave oven or inside an oven. Use the pot only inside the Express Crock Heating Base. Wash the Sealing Gasket and Lid by hand in warm, soapy water. Dry all parts thoroughly. Although the Cooking Pot is dishwasher safe, we recommend hand-washing to preserve the non-stick coating.

Extremely upset and unsettling
I bought this a couple months ago and just started using it about 2 months ago and it was working great and last night I made a chicken noodle soup and my family and i are eating dinner and to my disgust we find something black in our soup we had no idea what it was so I pour the soup out of the pot and find the bottom of the pan completely peeled off and a bunch of other spots bubbling and peeling. I can’t believe it so grossed out and extremely disappointed that is very dangerous!

Good value, love the slow cooker function.
I bought this pot about 6 months ago and I have only just started to use it. I love it so far and I like the fact that it can slow cook. However, I thought it came with a glass lid but there was none. Also one of my nieces scratched the inner pot and I need to replace it. I looked on the Crockpot website and it directs you to 3rd party parts site for replacement parts. The site is clunky and they don't have anything for the 10 qt. pot. I looked on other sites and they don't have the inner pot either. I would like a backup seal just in case the one that came with it breaks. The seal also carries the smell of what you cooked for a long time. Over all, I like the pot, just a few things need to be tidied up. That's why I gave 4 stars instead of 5.

Very large BUT the nonstick coating chips
We have had this for three years and we like how large it is! It can cook a whole roast, double batches of chili, etc. But the problem is that the nonstick coating inside the pot started chipping right away. We NEVER use metal utensils in there, but the coating was coming off after only a few uses. This is unsafe and toxic. Please, please make a replacement stainless steel pot to go inside! I've emailed customer support about this before with no luck. I'm now going to have to throw away this working crockpot because I can't use the chipping pot and I can't buy a replacement. Sad.

Very disappointed
I didn't get a chance to use it so I really can't rate this product. I purchased this item twice from Amazon. The first time they sent a 6 qt but did replace it with the 10 qt. I ordered new not used but this came without the glass lid & the extra sealing gaskets. It also has 2 spoons. I really wanted this because my daughter has one & she says she loves hers. By the way the 6 qt was used also but you could see that by the box.

Poor customer support
I purchased a 10 quart express that didn’t come with a glass lid or replacement seals so I asked a question on their site and they moderated it. But that’s ok I just posted it to 20 other review sites. This is what I posted
“I have a 10 quart Express cooker, model SCCPPC100-V1, it didn't come with a glass lid, which I thought it should have come with. In any case, how do I get a glass lid for it and a seal, it only came with one seal and I would like a replacement”

Best in its class! Very durable and user friendly!
I own two of the Crockpot cookers. The 6qt and the 10qt. Trust me when I say, they can withstand the storm. I took my 10qt Cooker with me to work to cook chicken for chicken pot pie. As I was getting my cooker out of the car I dropped it, on the sidewalk and some rocks. It ended up with a big dent in it, but it still worked great!! As I was leaving work, I dropped it again on a concrete floor. I thought I would have to throw it away for sure because the base looked broken and was in a terrible shape. When I got home and was trying to decide if I could fix it or just needed to throw it away. Before throwing it away decided to try and get it straightened out. Got the base back on and everything snapped back into place. I put a beef roast in the pot, plugged it up, and hoped for the best. Y’ALL, IT STILL WORKS PERFECTY!! It still has the dent, but it still works and I couldn’t be happier!!!

Love this Multi-Cooker
I love this multi-cooker, it truly makes life easy. The only thing I am disappointed about is I can not find a replacement seal anywhere to fit it. Crockpot suggests looking at others; however, I have yet to find another 10 qt. multi-cooker similar. I use this so much, that I really need a replacement seal because they tend to smell and get worn out. Please help Crockpot!

Express pressure cooker/ crock pot
I have had my express cooker for over a year and still can not figure it out. All recipes are instapot specific. I can never figure out if the cooking time is including the time it takes to pressurize or after it is pressurized. I am constantly hit or miss with recipes because all recipes you look up on internet are instapot specific. The directions that came with it and recipes are confusing on the time it takes to cook. I am constantly needing to check and then waiting for it to pressurize again. My next one will be instapot.

Help Needed!
I have the 10-qt pressure cooker. After the first use, the Teflon peeled along one side about 1-inch by 2-inch long. That’s the only peeling I’ve had.
My problem is: my pressure cooker does pressurize, but the release valve isn’t working since about the 4th use. If I need to release pressure, I gave to use a chopstick, press the red pin down in small spurts, so as to not get burned, and I’d really rather not have to do THAT. I bought the p/c because the manual pressure release button was far away from the valve!!
How do I clean the valve ?! Or do I need to replace something?! The cage around the valve makes for a non-cleaning problem. I think THAT might be where my issue is residing, because if I try triggering the manual release, the top bobble valve thing DOES move. But no steam releases.
I’m giving 4 stars cuz I still love it even with the issues! Thanks for any help / info!

Frustrating
Love pressure & slow cooking but this unit really frustrates me. Have owned less than a year with problems ranging from gasket failure causing high pressure release or not sealing at all. I do carefully wash and dry after each use. Today I have a half finished roast setting in a crockpot that no longer has a working digital display. I believe this is my sign to move on.

Disappointed
I had for a little over a year. Last night after I used the sear function for steaks and put in to pressure cook for 5 minutes. I let out pressure and opened, and noticed a huge dent under the left side handle. It has also separated the black internal "frame" from the silver outside so now I don't think I can use it.

The product is great! I bought one (1) 10 Quart Express Crock Multi-Cooker less than a year ago because I had already purchased two (2) 6 quart. The inner pot got dropped while drying it and the surface is bent. I am very happy with the appliance. Just need a replacement for the inner pot.

I love this big pot!
I’ve had my 10 quart almost 2 yrs and use so much. Unfortunately like others my inner pot fell from the counter and bent it slightly and now it won’t sit inside the pressure cooker well enough for the lid to go on. It’s sad! I loved it! Wish there would be replacement parts available.

Love it but need a replacement bowl!
I got this crock pot as a wedding gift and absolutely love it! However somehow the bowl got squeezed inside a box while moving and is misshappen so it no longer fits right inside the machine or allows it to close. I cant find anywhere to buy a replacement bowl/pot part for the 10qt.

Best Thing Since Sliced White Bread
I got mine as a present. It’s been sittin in my dining room in a box for over a year. The only pressure cooker I ever been around with my mama’s, on the stove. The other evening I decided to open it up, and oh my gosh how my life changed. I can make everything from corned beef and cabbage, to spaghetti, to New York cheesecake, and anything in between including hard boiled eggs in this. If this isn’t the best thing that God ever created, I do not know what is.

It is a great addition to my Cooking Tool Arsenal
It cooks everything very well... the problem is...the Pot insert, the non stick surface will not hold up, I don't use metal utensils only wooden - it chips and shows rust... I hand wash it... it needs to be Replaced with a new more durable pot with a better surface... Please send me another pot, with the information to purchase if it happens again (also send information for any replacement parts that might get worn out)

teflon insert pitting
I've had this crockpot for about a year. It started to show signs of wear on the teflon insert almost immediately, even with very careful use and cleaning i.e. wooden utensils and hand washing. I finally found a replacement through Seneca River Trading after a couple of hours of searching. It was $45; more than I wanted to spend but they delivered it very quickly.
I wish I had read these reviews before I purchased this appliance.

Good name not so great product
It works fairly well but 6 months in 2-3 uses power month and the ring is shot. The first time i used the included bottom rack it ruined the teflon which seems to be arecurring issue no i can't find replacement pot and don't really want a non stick. Very disappointed crock pot was a staple in the kitchen my whole life and it wasn't a question between this and insta pot may hsve been a bad choice

Great Alternative to Slow Cookers
I can’t use slow cookers because anything cooked in them makes me very ill. I wanted to try pressure cooking instead, and a friend gave me this—the Crock-Pot Express—as a gift. I have loved everything I have cooked in it. I get the benefits (tenderness, flavor, etc.) of a slow cooker, but in a lot less time and without the sickening side effects. I am very grateful my friend gave this to me.

Awesome...Until you have to find parts for it!
We loved our Crockpot until we lost our inner liner bowl, we contacted support and they don't have a way to get a replacement bowl. Not really sure how thats possible but it seems they don't exist. So now we have to buy a new CrockPot, but shocker...seems that they don't make the 10qt any longer!! Help please!

Needs longer cord
I got my xl pressure cooker/slow cooker for Christmas and use it all the time. The only problem I have with it is the cord is not long enough and all of my plugs sit under a cabinet so the steam goes straight up on my cabinets. I have seen steam diverters but can’t seem to find on for my size cooker.

My pot melted!
It was maybe my 7th time using. Used pressure cooker, high, poultry setting for an hour. I smelled something like burning plastic. The back was melting, smoking. I was fortunate enough to have caught it when I did. God forbid it would've actually caught on fire.
Really loved it until now.

Love it but can’t find replacement parts
I got this for Xmas and I absolutely love it because I’m so busy but I can’t find replacement seals and it never came with any extra or the glass lid and the top keeps falling apart so kind of disappointed with its quality! Might try an instapot next cause I can’t go without it!

Inner non-stick pot flakes
I love this multi functional crock pot. However, in spite of always hand washing it, the inner pot has a teflon link lining that started peeling/flaking in less than a year. I tried to find a replacemenmt but it is not available. Looks like I will have to replace the entire unit.

I did see your answer regarding not using the Crockpot for canning but I assume you are only talking about pressure canning. How about steam canning where the vent is left open? I know that Instapot and other pressure cookers advise this method is safe.
