Care & Maintenance

The lid and stoneware can be washed in the dishwasher or with hot, soapy water. Do not use abrasive cleaning compounds or scouring pads. A cloth, sponge, or rubber spatula will usually remove residue. To remove water spots and other stains, use a non-abrasive cleaner or vinegar. The outside of the heating base may be cleaned with a soft cloth and warm, soapy water. Wipe dry. Do not use abrasive cleaners.

So, if I need to leave to work at 7am but I don’t want my meal to start cooking until 9am/10am for 6-8 hours, which this does not do. Im still unsure of how the “MyTime” feature works? For example, what food selection do I use for sauce and meatballs? Is that meat or soup? Please help

Please use the &quot;HOUR&quot; and &quot;MINUTE&quot; buttons to select cook time in increments of 15 minutes, up to 20 hours. Select the time based on the length of time indicated in the recipe. The time will begin to count down in one minute increments. Use &quot;CANCEL TIMER&quot; to clear the countdown timer. This will allow your slow cooker to remain on its current setting until turned off.

For recipes that require a range of times, select the time closest to the setting on your slow cooker. For example, to cook a recipe calling for a cooking time of 7 to 9 hours on LOW, cook for 8 hours.

When the cooking time has completed, the Crockpot&trade; slow cooker automatically shifts to the &quot;KEEP WARM&quot; setting and the &quot;KEEP WARM&quot; light illuminates. To turn the Crockpot&trade; slow cooker off, press the &quot;START/STOP&quot; button and unplug the unit from the outlet.

If you have a locking lid feature on your glass lid it&rsquo;s extremely important to never lock the lid during the cooking process. Locking the lid during cooking, will keep the steam in producing pressure which could affect the slow cooker&rsquo;s performance.

The lid should be locked only when you move your CrockPot around, so it stabilizes the lid.
