All of our slow cookers will cook at the same temperatures. Product testing is done on a case by case basis depending on the product being released/manufactured. The individuals selected for the testing each depend on the current item being tested, customers geographical location, and a great many other demographical requirements to ensure a broad range of customers are able to test a product. Since those selected differ depending on what we wish to test, we select based on customers that have already contacted us in the past either to purchase products, receive warranty assistance, etc. Given that you've contacted us today, you are now in our system. Although there is no way to specifically sign up to be a product tester, we may reach out to you in the future.

Yes, the stoneware can be put into the fridge. You will however want to bring the stoneware back to room temperature before placing it on the heating base.

I called the co and was told to use a thermometer to test it yourself. I tried with two different thermometers on two different CP casseroles and both never got over 200. I am very disappointed in this casserole crock pot. try making stew in a regular crock pot. After a couple hours it will come to a slow boil whether it is on high or low. Try making the same stew in the casserole crock pot and it will not come to a slow boil. even if you leave in on 7 or 8 hours!

Here is my experience Shar. I have had two of these casseroles. I also have a 4 qt crock pot. When cooking stew and soups in the 4qt at high and low I can see the contents simmering. A very slow boil. That will not happen with the casserole crock pot. I have used two different temp gauges and neither one show the temp getting over 200 degrees.

This unit uses 140 Watts. Both the low & high settings cook at 215 degrees F., but they cycle differently. Therefore, the Wattage will be about the same for those settings.

This is the only color this unit is available in currently. The stoneware can go into the oven up to 400 degrees. You will want the stoneware to be at room temperature before putting it in the oven as extreme temperature changes may cause the stoneware to crack. You also will not want to pre-heat the oven for the same reason.
