Hello Maryee! Thank you for reaching out about the cord on your Crock‑Pot® Manual 2.5‑Quart Casserole Crock® Slow Cooker. A short power‑supply cord is used to reduce the risk of it being grabbed by children, becoming entangled in, or tripping over a longer cord. Hello! Thank you for reaching out about your Crock‑Pot® Manual 2.5‑Quart Casserole Crock® Slow Cooker. We’re sorry to hear the lid isn't closing tightly anymore. To ensure a proper fit, please check that the stoneware is seated evenly in the base and that the lid is aligned correctly with the handles. Even a slight shift in placement can prevent the lid from sealing. Make sure the rim and lid are free of food residue, as buildup can also affect closure. If you have any more questions or concerns, please reach out to us via https://www.crock-pot.com/support/contact-us or through LiveChat. We’re available Mon.-Fri. 9 am -5 pm Eastern Time. Hello. Thank you for reaching out to us. On your Crock-Pot® Manual 2.5-Quart Casserole Crock® Slow Cooker, both high and low stabilize at the same temperature (209°F); it is just a matter of how long it takes to reach the simmer point. On high, it takes approximately 3-4 hours, whereas, on low, it takes approximately 7-8 hours to reach the simmer point. Once food reaches the simmer point, total cook time is dependent on the cut and weight of meat to reach the point of maximum flavor and texture potential. Most dishes can be prepared on either high or low. This is uniform across all of our current models. In the warm setting, your slow cooker will be between 165-175°F. If you have any more questions, please reach out to us via our Contact Us form on our website. We’re available Mon.-Fri. 9am - 5pm Eastern Time. Thank you! Crockpot® Consumer Care

Hello. Thank you for reaching out to us. All CrockPot units operate on a standard 120V AC. In terms of power consumption, our slow cookers are energy efficient, using approximately 45 to 150 watts of electricity on LOW and between 150 and 210 watts on HIGH (which is equivalent to the energy consumption of 2 standard light bulbs). Therefore, you can use it in the USA. If you have any more questions, please do not hesitate to get in touch with us directly. We’re available Mon.-Fri. 9am - 8pm Eastern Time. Thank you!
