Care & Maintenance
    • ALWAYS turn your unit off, unplug it from the electrical outlet, and allow it to cool before cleaning. Dishwasher safe parts can be washed in the dishwasher or with hot, soapy water. Do not use abrasive cleaning compounds or scouring pads. A cloth, sponge, or rubber spatula will usually remove residue. To remove water spots and other stains, use a non-abrasive cleaner or vinegar. As with any fine ceramic, the stoneware and lid will not withstand sudden temperature changes. Do not wash the stoneware or lid with cold water when they are hot.
Warranty
1 Year Limited Warranty. See Instruction Manual for Additional Details.
Rated 1 out of 5 by from YOU WILL NEED TO BUY A REPLACEMENT BOWL Great capacity and worked great until the ceramic inner portion cracked. Now it leaks and makes a mess inside the metal part.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great for parties! I really like the Crock-Pot 8qt Programmable Slow Cooker. It is huge! This is a great feature for large families, parties, or making extra to have leftovers. Just be careful to make sure to fill it quite a bit. I am used to a smaller Crock-Pot and used that amount of chicken in the large one and had parts that were burnt. It needs a lot of food to make sure it is not going to burn. I also like that it had the countdown timer. It is a neat feature that let’s you visualize how long if left. The timer is not required to use the Crock-Pot, but is handy. The only thing I am not a fan of is how heavy it is to clean. It does not fit into the sink very well (awkward shape is too wide for my sink) and is very heavy once water is inside. I would definitely recommend this to anyone who needs a big Slow Cooker!!!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Cooks too hot My daughter bought this crock pot for me as a Christmas gift in 2021. My first time using it April 2022 and I cooked a meal with Raw meat on LOW and within 4 hours the food was burnt and sticking to the sides and the digital display doesn't even work. I am not sure if I can even return it to where we purchased it so we are probably out the money we paid for it. So disappointed. I have several crock pots and was excited to get an upgraded version with a digital display.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great size - easy to use! I am loving my new Crockpot! The size is fabulous for making those larger meals (I like to make a double batch of marinara to freeze, and the 8 quart is the only one that will handle it). The buttons on this one are much better than others I have had in the past - they seem sturdier, and the display is easy to read. I do wish it had a delay function, but at least it does switch to "keep warm," so that helps if I decide to make something a bit earlier in the day.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Reliable! I received this Crock Pot as a gift in 2015. I love it and have had it for 9 years! I just noticed a crack in the stoneware but I believe that happened when my husband used it at work. I am sad to replace it but it was such a great appliance. I am not sure if they have changed the quality of their appliances since 2015 because the other reviews are pretty bad. I had to leave this review because I only have great things to say about my CrockPot! I love it!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Works as advertised I like the timer I bought this about eight months ago it has worked flawlessly in that time, the only issue I have run across is the stoneware I'm not sure how and when but it cracked, so I called the one 800 number and the gentleman I spoke with was kind and considerate without having to explain or argue he is sending me out a replacement. This is the first time I have had to warranty or replace any part through crock pot and I have used them all my life thank you again

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great ease of use The slow cooker is straightforward to use. It has high and low settings, and you set the timer for how ever long you want to cook. When the time is up, the cooker automatically switches to the "warm" setting. It is roomy, making it great for cooking roasts with vegetables. The button controls are also simple to use. I like that you can remove the inside of the pot for easy cleaning. This is a good cooker that even a cooking novice can operate with ease.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from We use our all the time!!! As a family of seven, we absolutely love the Crock-Pot Programmable 8-Quart Slow Cooker! It's a game-changer for our busy household. The generous size is perfect for preparing large meals, ensuring everyone gets a hearty serving. The programmable settings make it easy to set and forget, allowing us to come home to ready-to-eat meals. Cleanup is a breeze, too! This slow cooker has truly simplified our mealtime routine and is a must-have in our kitchen

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Huge Crockpot This Crockpot is huge! For a smaller family, I have found it is best to freeze about half of what gets made. One challenge with this size Crockpot is finding recipes meant for this size appliance. Be prepared to double recipes. I have a smaller slow cooker that will see more everyday use unless we are entertaining, in which case I'll use this Crockpot. The timing feature is very convenient and I found the controls were intuitive and easy to use.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Don't waste your money! Terrible appliance. Had corned beef and cabbage cooking when I smelled something . Lifted the crock out of the base and liquid had leaked from the crock and burned on base. Put crock back in to get something to try and wipe it up and when I lifted it out again the bottom was still in the base. This is less than a year old!!! I saw other reviews with same issue. Should have read them first before buying this. I will never buy this brand again!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Pot broke Have been having your products for thirty years . I bought this product a few months ago to replace a pot I have been having with two generations. This one broke while it in use . I was cooking roast and it broke while cooking . It had been working for just three hours then broke and found all the water leaking in the base . What happened to your products? I always loved crock pot and wouldn't replace it with any other brand . What a shame .

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Expected more I have always been a fan of using a crockpot. My previous pot lasted more then 10 years. This pot was not what i expected because i have had it for less than a year and i kept noticing that i would see burt liquid that seemed as if it was coming from the inner pot...on closer inspection i found that there was a crack all along the edge almost all the way around the entire bottom. Definetly not going to purchase this same crockpot again.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from food burner I have been cooking in crock pots for 40 years, my twenty year old one was still working but my wife got me a new one, I fired it up and put in some elk sausage and sauce, set er at low for six hours and then switch to warm, burned to a crisp by morning. Don't buy one of these. It burns everything even when set on warm. Runs way too hot, not a slow cooker.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from works fine I bought this 2 or 3 years ago. One of the feet has broken off and I haven't found a replacement yet. I don't use metal in the crock. I've burned stuff in it, cooked sticky stuff, scorched it on accident, and overly not treated it very nice, other than not ever using metal in it. It has lasted this long, with a family of 6 cooking big meals and angry teens refusing to wash it properly. It has been getting a little break lately because we got the 8QT Crock-Pot Express XL last year, but it's still regularly used. I know that flaws make it through the manufacturing process, and That's why some people have been complaining, but I didn't experience any of that. I do wish there was an easy pack of replacement feet. That's a poor design choice, those little rubber insults. Full disclosure, it does run hot. You have to watch it because 'warm' will burn your food, so you just have to mindful of the temps. I ran it for 30 minutes at each temp and used one of those cheap thermometer guns or whatever to test the temp and wrote them down... That way I know what I need to set it at and for how long. Most crockpot recipes ARE NOT written for this big boy. You can't follow them blindly. Learned that quickly fast and in a hurry. *Also* I'm not a brand loyalist. I bought both because of price vs size. Crock Pot happened to have the right deal when I needed one. It's not perfect, but it's lasted longer than anything else I've bought.. including other crock pots.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Stoneware NOT dishwasher safe We got this at our wedding shower as a gift. This cooked the 2 meals we made in it beautifully ! We loved it until we put the stoneware in the dishwasher. The paperwork and website says that the stoneware is dishwasher safe. We used this twice, handwashed it The first time and put it in the dishwasher the second time and now the coating on the the inside is pealing off! The stoneware is ruined! I'm very disappointed !

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Easy to use and looks nice! I was given a Crockpot 8 quart crockpot to product test. I was very impressed with this crockpot. It was so easy to use. It is programmable so you are able to pick the temperature and the length of time to cook. I used it to cook a whole chicken which worked very well due to the size. I also made baked potato soup in it. The look of this crockpot makes it look more high end. The stainless steel looks good and was easy to clean.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Crock Broke After Little Use Had the same issue that other reviewrs have mentioned. (Broken/cracked crock) Was making dinner, smelled like something was burning, walked into a huge mess on my kitchen counter. Crock must have the smallest crack that is hard to spot but allows for liquid to seep through. So disappointing as I had hardly used this crockpot and it was rather pricey. I would not purchase this one again despite loving the largev8 qt size.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Not happy I bought this crock pot in June. I use it on a weekly basis. I did notice what looked like a crack in the bottom but it was on the under side not on the inside. So I thought I was ok. It cracked thie past weekend so less than 6 months since I bought it. I have 2 Crock-Pot from 1997 I still use, and have gone through 4 of the oval crock pots in the last 10 years. I really like the oval size just wish they lasted.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Does Not Work Right Out of the Box! I bought this for my wife, who’s long time Hamilton Beach one started acting up, for Christmas. Purchased at Kohl’s on impulse in November. After we’d trashed all boxes after Christmas we try to use it yesterday And it does NOT WORK. It can be programmed but doesn’t heat up. Sooooo not sure what we’ll do, I’ll prob call CrockPot or take the defective one back to Kohl’s for a refund. We’ll see what they say. Thanks

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Huge! I loved how spacious this crockpot is. I easily fit a huge roast in with potatoes, carrots, and onions and still had room to spare. I used the crockpot on low and set the timer for 8 hours, but never got around to the timer going off. It cooked a lot faster than my smaller crockpot. Otherwise that is my only complaint. It’s incredibly easy to use, I like that there is a timer for when I’m not at home to watch it.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Crock-Pot Black Stainless Collection Programmable This product is excellent for large groups or gatherings, but not practical for your average family on a daily basis. It provides even heating and cooking, and is easy to clean. The modern look with simple display provides an aesthetic appeal when in use.
