Care & Maintenance

ALWAYS turn your unit off, unplug it from the electrical outlet, and allow it to cool before cleaning. Dishwasher safe parts can be washed in the dishwasher or with hot, soapy water. Do not use abrasive cleaning compounds or scouring pads. A cloth, sponge, or rubber spatula will usually remove residue. To remove water spots and other stains, use a non-abrasive cleaner or vinegar. As with any fine ceramic, the stoneware and lid will not withstand sudden temperature changes. Do not wash the stoneware or lid with cold water when they are hot.

The other feature that I liked is the feet on the crock pot. The feet are sturdy and also protect the counter surface. Can’t wait to make more dishes.

I decided it would be the perfect size to make a pork tenderloin. The control panel is easy to use and I was impressed that the digital timer counts down cooking time up to 20 hours. When cooking time is up it automatically keeps the food warm until you turn it off. After 4 hours we enjoyed a delicious moist pork tenderloin for dinner. I can't wait to try my next recipe and make corned beef in this Crock-Pot..

No cold liquid, nothing I haven’t cooked before, and it developed a huge hairline crack all around the bottom. My last crock pot lasted18 years before the controls stopped working, this one less than a year. I’m super disappointed and upset that I now have to either get a replacement bowl, or an entirely new one. Thinking about trying a different brand of slow cooker after this.

I don't have a lot of time but I want to make healthy meals. This programmable Crock-pot allows me to leave the food to 'cook itself' while I take care of the kids. It is quite large and takes over the counter top but I appreciate the quantity of food I am able to cook at once. It is as heavy as expected but easier to clean than expected.

It’s definitely not a low and slow cook. It burned 2 of the meals I prepared in it while not at home. I decided to use it today since I’m home and could keep an eye on it. About 45 minutes in I heard a loud pop. I went and checked and the stoneware had cracked all the way around, completely through. I’m so disappointed.

I have tried recommendations of using the high setting time listed on recipes on the low setting for this crock; still over cooked. I grew up with my mom always using Crock-Pot and even had a hand me down that I used all through college and loved it! I am extemely disappointed with this product and would not recommend to any of my family or friends. I will be donating.

However, this crock pot runs very hot and significantly decreases cook time... which creates a problem when I am leaving for the day and can't be home to constantly stir it. Even on warm my recipes are boiling.

Rated 1 out of 5 by Aviney from Low is too hot. Cracked after one use. Bought this a few months ago. Husband used it for some BBQ pork for a Christmas party at work. Set it to low overnight for 5 hrs. Very crispy on the edges in the morning like it was too hot. Noticed a small crack along the bottom when I cleaned it. Hoping it was minor, I used it again for some chicken breasts. Again, set to low. Almost an hour later I noticed cracking sounds and it was wayyy too hot and leaking everywhere. The whole bottom bust open. Super unhappy with this brand new Crock pot. Replacement for $50? Is this one going to crack after one use too?

Same as other reviewers, my crock split all the way around and separated in half when I went to lift it out for cleaning way after we had dinner. Luckily I always use the liners when cooking, so our dinner was not contaminated and did not leak out. I had only used it about 10-15 times over the course of 2 years. It always boiled on the warm setting too which it shouldn’t.

The company sells replacement feet for all sizes except the 8 qt. If you lose a foot you have to live with the wobble or buy another slow cooker. Maybe the company should include spare feet in the original packaging?

I got this crock pot for xmas....it cooks at double the temperature it should which alarms me and concerns me that it will get too hot. I made a bed stew (recipe nearly identical to the beef bourguignon recipe in the instruction booklet)...it was boiling within 2 hours and continued to boil and was done in half the time. Should have taken 9 hours ....took 4. So obviously the benefits of slow cooking were not achieved. I am extremely disappointed in this product and do fear it's not safe. I've had crockpots for 40 years and never had this issue ever.

I had a crock full of chili in the refrigerator overnight, but after putting it 9n the base on warm for 1.5 hours - IT WAS BOILING. It was literally BOILING. My advice would be to avoid this model.

Cooked the chicken with a cheese topping as the first part of the recipe and put it on high for 4 hours as instructed. It cooked way too hot! The cheese was browning on the the bottom and sides of the pot and starting to get hard with 23 minutes to go...way too hot instead of "slow" cooking. We'll be sure to subtract time from the suggested cooking time, at least on the high setting. It will be passable until it's time to be replaced but we'll look for another alternative in the future.

I put my ingredients for soup in the pot (nothing was cold), turned it on.. and within an hour smoke was billowing out of it. The pot developed the same crack as everyone else here is showing and the soup was pouring into the base and out the bottom. Shortly after removing the crock.. the entire bottom broke off!

I REALLY GOT MY MONIES WORTH BECAUSE I USED IT ALMOST EVERY WEEK IN THE SUMMER AND EVERY MONTH IN THE COOLER WEATHER. YESTERDAY WHILE IT WAS COOKING MEATLOAF I HEARD A CRACKING SOUND 2 TIMES. WHEN I WENT INTO THE KITCHEN TO CHECK IT AGAIN, I SAW MY DOG LICKING THE CABINET BELOW WHERE THE CROCKPOT WAS. GREASE WAS ALL OVER THE KITCHEN COUNTER, DRIPPING DOWN THE CABINET AND ONTO THE FLOOR. THE CERAMIC INSERT HAD CRACKED AND WAS LEAKING. NEEDLESS TO SAY THE MEATLOAF CAME OUT DRY AND BURNED ON THE BOTTOM. I BOUGHT THIS CROCPOT FOR ITS SIZE AND FEATURES. I HAVE ONLY USED THIS NEW CROCKPOT 3 OR 4 TIMES. I AM NOW SEARCHING FOR A REPLACEMENT.

My favorite feature is count down timer! Once the time ends, the Crockpot automatically switches to the warm setting. Super easy to clean. The 8 quart is BIG! But you don't have to fill it. My ONLY complaint is that the power cord is a bit short (which seems to be the norm for crockpots).

With this slow cooker it is basically all in one where you choose your setting and then the time. When the time is complete it stays at a warm setting to serve at a later time. When cooking for a large crowd this slow cooker holds it all. I have a 4qt and 6qt cooker, so the option to use the right one is fantastic. The food that I have prepared thus far in this slow cooker has turned out superb.

The insert can be removed for marinating or if I prepare the meal the night before. And of course for washing it afterward. I’ve always had round crockpots before and I was hesitant about the larger, oval-shaped version. I have a smaller family and I was worried that the extra space would cause smaller amounts to burn or overcook quicker. But I didn’t have an issue with that, and I quickly realized that it’s perfect for cooking ribs and pork loin that didn’t fit as well in the round crockpot. It has a timer that’s simple to figure out and use. The only thing I wish is that it had the ability to lock the lid on for travel.

It took me a few minutes to figure out that the smoke was coming from the underneath of the unit. I’m out nearly $100 because I no longer have the box or receipt for it, which is my fault. I never expected a problem from a Crockpot brand! Very disappointed.

Now I use it once or twice a month for food for us and once a month to make bone broth for our dog, which runs 24hrs! I wish they made a bigger one. Only thing that I need to replace is the lid because my fiancé just dropped it on the ground and it shattered

At first I thought maybe it had leaked from the condensation on the lid, but after the 3rd time of using it after that, there was a noticeable cracks in the pot and alot more liquid on the countertop. I would love it if a new pot was sent to replace it. Especially since I am seeing other reviews of what seems to be similar to mine, I feel it it only right on crockpot's part to correct this issue. I did try calling customer service several time in which I never succeeded in getting an answer due to " being in a meeting ", so now I am asking that my review and request be heard.

This crockpot is easy to use, you plug it in, select the temperature that you want from low or high and then you can set a timer in 30 minutes intervals for how long you want it to cook at that temperature. When the time is reached it will switch to warm to keep your food warm. I also like that this crockpot is easy to clean. I cooked beef stew and Asian chicken in this crockpot and both turned out amazing. It’s great that it shuts off on its own so my food doesn’t burn. The only thing I would change about this crockpot is that I wish that the lid locked down for traveling and that there was somewhere to store the power cord. But overall I love this crockpot, the timer is great. I would recommend this to anyone looking for a family sized crockpot or to cook large meals.

I love using it for meal prepping and an occasional dinner. Clean up is easy, love the digital feature and was really enjoying using it. Agree with other reviews that it does get very hot, even on low. Not much difference between the 2 settings. While it’s cooking, it’ll make cracking/popping noises every now and then, figured no big deal, just the ceramic adjusting to the heat. Last week it finally cracked. A large crack through the side and bottom. Put water in it and it all leaked out. And best part - this company doesn’t sell replacements. And the company they refer you to doesn’t have any. So 6 months of seldom use… not great.

Decided it was time to upgrade from my ancient off-brand slow cooker which only has one knob and seemed to cook everything intensely on low. So far, this has been a great investment. It is super easy to set and the handles are a plus. Only wish it had clasps for the lid - That would make it perfect for traveling. The black stainless is quite sharp-looking, too!

The lid does seems too small and it does not fit well. Every time I use this crockpot, it splatters liquid out all over the counter. Then I have an electrical appliance sitting in a huge puddle on my counter. It has even been created such a big puddle that it drips onto the floor! After reading the reviews, it seems that I am not the only one to have this problem. I have used many crockpots over the years (I currently own 7 of them). This is the only one that has ever made such a mess! I would love to have a lid that fits this crockpot correctly. I would order a new replacement lid, but I don't want one that's exactly like what I already have.

The power light does not light, so I can’t be sure it is actually working, although the timer and select displays are working. After reading the reviews I’m very worried about this crockpot and the nice pork roast inside. If the power light is not on but other displays are working and time is running, should it be ok? The manual is terrible by the way. No section on trouble-shooting. I wonder if the newer model is better?

Rated 1 out of 5 by Seejul from Too hot on all settings Every time I use this crockpot, once the food is to the temperature I want, I set the temperature level to Low and I’ve also tried Warm and both settings continue to take the food inside to such a high temperature as to continue bubbling (as in boiling). This happens no matter how much liquid I’m using the recipe. Multiple large meals have been ruined due to this issue. I’ve read the other reviews on this product and see others with the same issue. I called the 1-800-323-9519 Consumer Care Team and the first time was hung up before anyone answered and the second time was asked a survey without ever having the phone call answered by anyone. So what avenues to I have to get this issue rectified? Thank you - I’ve always been a fan of Crockpot appliances.
