The model listed on this page has a fully customizable timer, and can be set for High or Low, from 30 minutes up to 20 hours. However, if you have a model that only has the 4-6-8-10 preset settings, then unfortunately there is no way to override that. Thank you.

NO, we do not advise you lock the lid during the cooking process. The locking lid feature is only intended to be used when transporting your unit. Locking the lid while cooking can cause too much pressure to build within the unit and could cause the stoneware to crack or the lid to shatter. Thank you for your inquiry.

Yes, this is normal, and nothing to be concerned about. All of our stoneware are handcrafted, and each one will have slight differences. However, as the heating element wraps around the entire outer side of the heating base, the heat will be contained within the stoneware and distributed evenly. Thank you.

Both High and Low stabilize at the same temperature (209&deg;F); it is just a matter of how long it takes to reach the simmer point. On High, it takes approximately 3-4 hours, whereas on Low, it takes approximately 7-8 hours to reach the simmer point. Once food reaches the simmer point, total cook time is dependent on cut and weight of meat to reach the point of maximum flavor and texture potential. Most dishes can be prepared on either High or Low. This is uniform across all of our current models. Thank you for your question.
