Care & Maintenance
    • ALWAYS turn your unit off, unplug it from the electrical outlet, and allow it to cool before cleaning. Dishwasher safe parts can be washed in the dishwasher or with hot, soapy water. Do not use abrasive cleaning compounds or scouring pads. A cloth, sponge, or rubber spatula will usually remove residue. To remove water spots and other stains, use a non-abrasive cleaner or vinegar. As with any fine ceramic, the stoneware and lid will not withstand sudden temperature changes. Do not wash the stoneware or lid with cold water when they are hot.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Digital display broke and cooks way too fast. I bought this 9 months ago. Two months ago the display stopped displaying properly. Even on low this crockpot cooks way too fast. It's not something that I can plug in and leave for the day.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Looks beautiful but isn't the best I was really excited about this crock pot because I liked the idea of the digital controls and I loved the sleek look. After cooking with the crock pot I did find that although the food cooked properly I will probably go back to my old crock pot. I found that the handles, while well designed for grip, got very hot to the touch as the dish cooked. I found that digital controls, while modern looking, didn't provide the simple ease of the manual knob. I find that I don't need a timer on my crock pot so the digital display time wasn't much use to me, although I can see the merit in the idea. I did love the look of the crock pot. The shiny exterior was a nice touch and made me want to keep it out on the counter instead of in a cupboard. I noticed that the bowl of the crock pot tapered which I didn't care for. I felt like food would fit better if it didn't taper. I also worry about the longevity of the push button controls. I wonder if they would fail after a while or if they could be damaged by moisture from the crock pot. Overall not a bad crockpot. Love the look. The major issue for me was the hot handles.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Keep looking So old crockpot went to heaven and decided on this one to replace it. I chose for the shiny look and the digital controls as I was looking for a 7 qrt. Did not realize, handles get HOT (burned my fingers) so very hard to transport. Additionally, the lid does not have a rubber lining and bounces around and is not tight. The lid does NOT lock like the others on the handles so lid popped off in the car. Not fun. Overall, I really regret picking this one.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Careful. Overly Hot Handles & Base I bought this pot to replace an older version damaged in a house fire. I love the countdown features but the handles (both side and lid handles) become extremely hot and the base also becomes very hot. This is not safe in my opinion. The ceramic removable crock seems to cook faster than my old one. Sadly, even hours after completely cooling down, the crock cracked almost in half while washing. It was not dropped so I don’t know if this is a flaw or not.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Crock insert cracked - no replacement available This crock pot was great for about 1 year when I noticed a crack in the crock insert going all the way through the stoneware. It is dangerous to use a cracked crock and I planned to purchase a replacement crock but I cannot find one ANYWHERE! Crockpot does not manufacture them anymore. I reached out to customer service, provided all the pictures they required and was simply told they were unable to help me. Will not be purchasing from crock pot again.

My model number is SCCPVLF710-S and I have followed the steps to hold down power and mode buttons and unplug and plug in. My lights keep blinking. This happened during a cooking time last night … it cooked for 8 hours then instead of going to warm… lights were blinking. When I push the power and the mode button, the screen flickers and then goes off.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Stopped working I’ve had this for little under a year and it stopped working. It no longer gets hot when on high and nearly warm when on low. I don’t have the instruction manual anymore to try to reset it. Very disappoint in this crockpot! I have another one that I’ve had for years and it work great but I wanted one that I could set times for.. Any way you can post the instruction manual because it is not listed under instructions like all the others?

The ability to program how long to set the crockpot and what temperature makes this a lifesaver for weekday meals. After a long day of work and kids sports this crockpot makes for an easy weekday meal. The program helps from over cooking and drying the food out and insures everyone will enjoy supper. Weekday meals would be a nightmare without this. Highly recommend getting this.

Not only does it cook amazingly but the updated design is a wonderful addition to any kitchen. For those of you who hate the hassle of digital products it is no reason to shy away from this beauty. It's straight forward settings are so simple even my grandmother can skip the instructions. Great product as always!!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I've owned this crockpot for several weeks. It has performed flawlessly when cooking ribs, roasts, and chili. One nice feature is the cord can be wrapped on the backside so it doesn't fling around. I love the feet as they are super sturdy. The design is super nice and feels updated. The timer is the best because it allows you to just look and not try to remember what time you started ( as with older models).

It has a timer feature that I can set to cook on high. After my set time, it automatically switches to warm for up to 4 hours. Now I don’t have to worry about burning my food while I’m away. I can leave for 9 hours and come home to a perfectly cooked meal! I’m so happy with this crock pot!

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Nice looking but outside gets hotter than the in I received this as a warranty replacement. I liked the looks and the idea of the replaceable ceramic crock. Sadly, this is very poorly made...the ceramic crock doesn't fit in the heater, and the top doesn't fit the crock. Everything is loose and rattley. And the exterior gets super hot, while the inside appears to not get hot enough. The LCD screen is so dim you can barely read it. Very bummed.

The touch controls are very easy to use and I totally prefer them to the old knobs. I like the ability to program time cooking. I will certainly recommend this product to my friends and family. I am excited because I have started making crockpot meals on a regular basis.

Love the sleek design and oval shape is great for my not so deep counter tops. The digital readout is a nice updated feature. Works just the same as my old one but looks a million times better in my kitchen!! Cleanup is a breeze with the additional purchase of crockpot liners which I highly recommend for busy moms like me!

When done the food tastes good but doesn’t have that wonderful cooking smell. Anything I can do? It seems to be working fine but just smells odd - not like burning - but just not yummy- kinda smells chemical like - not like my other crockpot does when cooking which smells great. What can I do?

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love the features! This product works very well! It is very easy to use and to clean. I love the sleek appearance of it. I found the timer very useful while making my meals. I didn’t have to keep track of how long my food had been cooking for or when it would be done cooking. I liked that I could adjust the time while my food was cooking. I also found the fact that the crock-pot will automatically switch to warm once the time is up. I previously had a basic crock-pot that only had a high, low or warm knob. I had to keep track of the timing. The fact that it switches to warm for me is very useful feature for when I want to cook something overnight or while I’m at work. The size is great! I can cook a large meal for my family and still have leftovers. The only area for improvement would be the outside handles. They can get pretty hot. I’d advice using a hot pad when handling. I highly recommend this crock-pot!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from So convenient! This programmable Crock-Pot takes the Crock-Pot that I grew up with and makes it easier to use. I love how you no longer have to deal with arbitrary multi-hour increments of cooking time, but rather it can be programmed for an exact cooking time, as well as a delayed start. I've always liked the convenience of making slow cooker meals, and this Crock-Pot makes it that much easier.

Yesterday we were slow cooking a corn beef and suddenly the unit admitted a strong smell of burning wire. We had to take it out of the house because of the Burning odor. So now we have an appliance less than two years old that we need to throw in the trash. Very disappointing!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Truly a "Set It & Forget It" Appliance The 7 Quart Crock Pot is truly a "set it & forget it appliance". The digital timer is simple to use. The Mode button switches between High, Low and Warm settings. The High setting automatically sets the digital timer at 4 hrs, and the Low setting automatically counts down from 8 hrs. You can easily adjust the time by pressing the + or - signs to increase or decrease the preset times. Once the timer is done, it automatically switches to the Warm setting so you dont have to worry about getting home in time to turn the crock pot off and after 4 hrs on Warm, it automatically shuts completely off. It has a removable insert which is dishwasher safe and the outside is easy to clean up any spills. The only downside is that the side portion of the handles gets hot. There's a rubber grip on the handle, but it doesn't cover all of it so the side sections are hot to touch. Otherwise, it's a great appliance. Would highly recommend.

There was an odd smell the first couple of uses, but don't have the issue now and this did not affect product or performance. Overall, very pleased with it. Would especially recommend for larger households as it is generously sized.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Inside stoneware cracked I have had this crockpot a couple of years, but don't use it very often and today as I was using it discovered the stoneware had cracked from the top of the middle of the wide part all the way down to the bottom of the stoneware. It was leaking into the cooking part. I am very disappointed it didn't last longer and that it would crack right down the middle.

We love the size of this crockpot as it is big enough to feed the entire family. It is easy to set on high or low. It has a lid for moist meals. It is easy to set up and use. The inner pot comes out for storage or easy cleaning.

It doesn't get hot enough to cook a roast or the carrots and potatoes. 24 hours later on high and the veggies were hard and meat tough. Plus no clue how to use the timer to program it. Worst crockpot ever. Not the name to trust for a slow cooker

We all know this is indispensable in the kitchen doesn't matter if you work, are retired and lazy, or bringing to pot luck. Indispensable! What do you all cook in this wonderful appliance that was invented in 1938 by Irving Naxon and branded in 1971.

It holds full meals for my large family of 8, it stores easily and the functions/programming are so reliable and easy! Set ideal temperature, time, walk-away and done! The best thing to ever be invented, hands down, 2 thumbs up!
