Care & Maintenance

ALWAYS turn your unit off, unplug it from the electrical outlet, and allow it to cool before cleaning. Dishwasher safe parts can be washed in the dishwasher or with hot, soapy water. Do not use abrasive cleaning compounds or scouring pads. A cloth, sponge, or rubber spatula will usually remove residue. To remove water spots and other stains, use a non-abrasive cleaner or vinegar. As with any fine ceramic, the stoneware and lid will not withstand sudden temperature changes. Do not wash the stoneware or lid with cold water when they are hot.

Rated 2 out of 5 by Robbki from Very disappointing replacement for older Crockpot I have owned a Crockpot since my daughter was born and she is now 24! When I sadly needed to replace it, wanted a big bigger and this was the choice. Unfortunately this one boils food even on low! Can't slow cook stew anymore as done in a few hours. I often make soup stock and that is impossible with this one and I also could not leave this unattended for several hours as it wouldn't be safe. I've tried everything but it simply boils everything doesn't matter the setting. Can't return as I've used it so I am shopping alternate brands now as this is quick frankly useless for the purpose intended. Giving it 2 stars because it does cook.

Rated 1 out of 5 by desiz from too hot! My lid for my old stoneware crockpot that I've had for years, and have loved, broke right before thanksgiving. I purchased this model and am so disappointed. The exterior gets incredibly hot to the touch, even when using the warm and low settings. Two recipes that I've made for years in my stoneware crockpot without ever having an issue, burned in this one. Hopeful I can find a replacement lid for the old, do not want to try this new one again. Really hope I can return this one, waste of good money. Would only recommend finding an older, sturdier crockpot, not this new model.

Rated 1 out of 5 by HNKennedy from Removable crock and clear lid to see through Bought this 2 yrs ago-did not like the fact the outside was Sooo hot (solved that problem by sitting it on my glass top stove) as I was concerned for the countertop-the off/low/high/warm dial was not very exact(couldn't really tell if I was using low or high)-those 2 issues aside I love using a CrockPot. Boom,I took it this cool morning to start some corned beef & cabbage and NO HEAT!! Back to the 'old' oven-This 'pot' came with the Little Dipper (great for little ones to dip strawberries into chocolate---very disappointed in the overall quality of this model

It tends to cook hotter and faster and has burned two meals on me now. Groceries are too expensive to just throw away. So I can not really prepare and leave on low while I am at work which is very disappointing. I have never had this issue before with a slow cooker before.

Now it wobbles on the counter, thought I might order new feet.The on-line help desk identified that they don't have replacement feet for it. I guess a Crock-Pot manufactured in 2015 is not worth repairing? Difficult to justify buying a new Crock-Pot.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Dunbar Shopping Mom from Perfect Size! I used this at Christmas to cook a very large pork roast with added 5lb potatoes, 2lb carrots, and 3 onions. I had prepared all this the night before and the roast was still frozen and sat on top of the veggies above the crock pot. I covered it in Press and Seal and just laid the lid on top. As the roast cooked down, the lid settled easily on the pot. It cooked perfectly as it was. The size was perfect. I couldn't believe how much it held. If I was to complain about this in any way it would be that the lid did not lock in place for travel, but I don't intend to carry such a heavy load out anyway so we're good.

Rated 2 out of 5 by Slow Cooker Lover from Outside too Hot! I bought 4 of these at Christmas for myself and daughters because it was an 8 quarts size. The cooking was good but I only gave it 2 stars because the outside gets so hot that you cannot touch it. When I took the lid off some water dripped off and it sizzled when it hit the outside of the pot. 2 of my daughters are taking theirs back because they have small children and they are afraid they might touch it and get burned and they are afraid to leave it on when they are at work. I have always loved the crock pot brands and own 2 others with different outsides and I was so excited to find an 8 quart so this one was a disappointment only because of the outside.

I have read in the other reviews that they have the same problem i have with this unit, It does not really have a "low" setting, Plus i saw it's setting seem to be backwards it goes "low, high, warm" but anyway i guess i will have to get use to this unit cooking A LOT hotter that the older models
