Care & Maintenance

ALWAYS turn your unit off, unplug it from the electrical outlet, and allow it to cool before cleaning. Dishwasher safe parts can be washed in the dishwasher or with hot, soapy water. Do not use abrasive cleaning compounds or scouring pads. A cloth, sponge, or rubber spatula will usually remove residue. To remove water spots and other stains, use a non-abrasive cleaner or vinegar. As with any fine ceramic, the stoneware and lid will not withstand sudden temperature changes. Do not wash the stoneware or lid with cold water when they are hot.

Rated 1 out of 5 by Chris62 from 12 Hours to Cook a Roast on High! I bought this crock pot on Feb 16th, 2021 to replace my 12 year old crockpot. I used it the first time about a month or so after I purchased it. I used the same roast recipe that I’ve been using in my crock pot for 10+ years. I always cook it on high for 5-6 hours. After 6 hours the roast was hard as a rock and not edible so I tossed it out thinking I purchased a bad roast. Today, a month later, I tried another roast and after 6 hours on high it turned out just like the last roast. Again, inedible so I ended up ordering a pizza. My husband said we should let it cook for another 6 hours just to see how it turns out and after 6 more hours it was cooked perfectly. But 12 hours on HIGH to cook a 2 lb roast?! Clearly there is something wrong with this crock pot. It’s too late to return it and I no longer have the box and I’m now out $44 for the crock pot. I read another review on here from someone who had the same problem! Be warned, people. Don’t waste your money.

The locking lid is perfect for transporting cooked food with no spills in the car. Then just put it on the table at the party and plug it in to keep the food warm.

Rated 1 out of 5 by CookCon from porcelain portion impossible to remove to empty I have used a crockpot for many years, happily. Mine had burned out and I received the Crockpot Cook and Carry Slow Cooker for Christmas. Previous models had handles on the porcelain portion so you could easily remove it when the food was cooked. I used it for the first time last evening and when I tried to lift out the porcelain, there were no handles and I could not lift it from the lip. I tried emptying it using the handles on the base and the porcelain portion fell out and shattered on the floor. I plan to contact customer service to see what can be done about this unfortunate experience.

The 1st time I used it it took forever cook beef stew, I was hoping it was because it was new. So I decided to try it again and it took 2 days to cook vegetable soup. I'm so mad that I didn't keep the box because I would return it in a heartbeat. I am so disappointed in this product. Had one fir years and it worked great

Filled it up with raw meat and veggies, plugged it in to start cooking... nothing. No power, nothing. I have power to the outlet, but no power registers on the display and nothing happens when you press select button. Worthless, I have never had any kitchen appliance not work even once. Now I have raw food and nothing to cook it in!

Fortunately nobody ate the metal pieces that fell In the soup as I didn’t realize they were in the soup until after we ate. This is an unacceptable situation. It seems that I am not the first time this has happened. These should be recalled. I tried to submit pictures here but nothing happens when I click on it below. I submitted this to customer service last week but have not heard from them or received an acknowledgment that I submitted a request to them.

The food always comes out delicious after letting it sit in the crock pot and slow cook for hours on end! The durability is amazing on this crock pot and the material used to make both the pot and the lid are outstanding! I enjoy being able to see my food get cooked through the clear lid on top and it’s a rather big crock pot so you can fit a whole dinner for the family! I would highly recommend this product for sure!

The Crock-Pot&reg; Manual 6-Quart Cook &amp; Carry&reg; Slow Cooker is designed with a locking lid to prevent spills during transport. While you can use the cooker at home without engaging the clips, Crock-Pot&reg; does not recommend replacing the lid with a different style.

The locking lid is part of the product&rsquo;s fit and safety design. If you prefer a regular lid without clips, the best option is to purchase a Crock-Pot&reg; model that comes with a standard lid.
