Possibly a design defect in wiring?!
The electrical cord is burnt completely down to the wire inside the cord. I've used it as directed and don't understand how this happened. I'm afraid to use it, of course, and it could have burnt down our house.

Great crockpot! It is very convenient to be able to set a timer. Once the timer runs out the crock pot switches to warm. This keeps food from burning or over cooking. I do wish it was just a little bit bigger.

Stoneware moves too much
I got this as a Christmas gift. I have another slow cooker of a different brand and the stone doesn't move at all. I love the timer on this but the crock itself moves a couple of inches all around in the pot.

I GOT THIS AS A XMAS PRESENT THIS YEAR AND EVERYTIME I USE THE WARM SETTING IT BURNS THE FOOD. YOU CAN'T USE ANY SETTING JUST TO KEEP SOMETHING WARM AND THE OTHER TWO SETTING FEEL LIKE THEY ARE WAY TOO HOT.

I love my crockpot it does take maybe 10 minutes to heat up but once it gets hot is stays hot for a very long time and cooks your food to perfection. You can use it for just about anything not just soups.

Thank you for your inquiry. Typically, the slow cooker only cooks hot when the unit is not filled enough. For food safety reasons, the warm setting, on your Crock-Pot&reg; slow cooker will be between 165&deg; and 175&deg; Fahrenheit. We do not recommend using warm for more than 4 hours. We do recommend that you always fill your slow cooker at least 2/3 to no more than 3/4 of the way full, including at least one cup of liquid or sauce. You may have to adjust your cook times accordingly, especially if you are using older Crock-Pot&reg; slow cooker recipes, or adapting regular recipes for Crock-Pot&reg; slow cooker use. This will prevent the food from drying out and burning. Both the low and high settings will reach a maximum temperature of approximately 215&deg; Fahrenheit, but they cycle differently in that the low setting cycles off of that temperature more frequently. Therefore, the high setting will still cook the food in a shorter period of time than the low setting will. Please remember that these are all approximate temperatures and they can vary depending on what you are cooking. The Crock-Pot&reg; slow cooker can also boil on high and low.

If you have a Crock-Pot&reg; Smart-Pot&reg; slow cooker that can cook 4 or 6 hours on high and 8 or 10 hours on low, you would have to manually shut off the unit in three hours on low. You could cook the food 4 hours on high and the food will still be great as long as you have enough liquid in the unit. The model on this page, the SCCPVL610 unit can be set to cook 3 hours on low.

Thank you for your inquiry. Baking soda would be fine to use to clean the stoneware. Do not use abrasive cleaning compounds or scouring pads. A cloth, sponge, or rubber spatula will usually remove any residue. To remove water spots and other stains, use a non-abrasive cleaner or vinegar.

Thank you for your inquiry. We have no replacement stoneware for that model at this time. Please check back in 2 to 3 weeks for availability. The regular stoneware should never be set on the stove top to heat up. The stoneware is not stove top safe.

Can u program this crock pot to cook on high for the first 4 hrs and then to automatically switch to cook on low for the last 3 hrs? And after those 7 hrs go to warm? If this one can't do that do u have a model that can do that?

Thank you for your inquiry. Both the low and high settings will reach a maximum temperature of approximately 215&deg; Fahrenheit, but they cycle differently in that the low setting cycles off of that temperature more frequently. Therefore, the high setting will still cook the food in a shorter period of time than the low setting will. On the warm setting, your Crock-Pot&trade; slow cooker will be between 165&deg; and 175&deg; Fahrenheit. Please remember that these are all approximate temperatures and they can vary depending on what you are cooking. The Crock-Pot&trade; slow cooker can also boil on high and low. We do recommend that you always fill your slow cooker at least 2/3 to 3/4 of the way full, including at least one cup of liquid or sauce.
