Too Hot

Cook Temps Way Off
Temps are way off. Cannot cook potatoes or rice. Tried making soup recipes - one with potatoes and one with with rice - that I have made many times before in my old cooker - after 9/8 hours potatoes and brown rice were almost raw while meat was overcooked and thus dry. Tried using it last night just to make mulled wine. After 1 hour on high the top of the crock was hot but the bottom was stone cold. Had to transfer everything to a stock pot and cook on stove to save the party. So disappointed.

Stoneware cracked!!!

NOT IMPRESSED!
I'm not impressed with this Crock-Pot at all! I paid extra for this one because my husband liked the feature of being able to program in the cook time manually. He just used it for the first time, the other night, to cook white beans. After cooking for 8 hrs, the beans weren't even nearly done. He had to finish cooking them on the stove.

Completely dissatisfied. New product in the trash.
My husband bought me the digital crockpot for christmas. I was really excited to use it. I plugged it in threw in all of my food and walked away for about 4 hours. I came back and checked it and there was no steam as i lifted the lid. I stuck my finger in and it was barely warm, Barely!! I looked at the settings and made sure i had it on high and yep its on high. I let it go for a few more hours and when my husband got home and we were ready to eat. Still nothing. Never got hot enough after 8 hours of cooking. NO DINNER. Completely dissatisfied will never buy another crockpot product!! Brand new and in the garbage. Husband said it wasnt cheap either. Do not buy un less you want to throw new products in the trash.

Works twice then not at all
I received this as a Christmas present around 3 years ago. I've used it twice since then with no issues, and today when I had already put in all of the ingredients and went to turn it on, there was no power no matter the outlet that I used. There's no visible damage to any of the components, and I've tried every outlet in my kitchen. All of my other appliances power on just fine, it's JUST the Crockpot.
This is so disappointing, as I've only used it TWICE since getting it. The condition is pretty much brand new. I can't find any information online to fix it, and customer support isn't available on Sunday. I have no other means of cooking right now, so I had to throw away all of my ingredients, which wasn't cheap for me.

i count on this crockpot to cook my concoctions perfectly for my family without having to "supervise" it! It saves me time and grief, worrying all day about what's for supper...will my family like it...and will I have dinner ready on time? Yes...thanks to my "helper"! I love it!

Couldn’t live without it
This crock pot is so handy, I would be lost without it. I use it at least once every week. Right now I can smell the brisket that is cooking in my pot and it is making me hungry. I use it for family meals, soups and yes, even deserts.

The word "programmable" is a very loose term.
Your choices for "programming " are either 4 or 6 hours on High OR 8 or 10 hours on low. I went to use it for the first time today and wanted 6 hours on low. Very disappointed

Convinced it is wired incorrectly
I was given this as a gift from my mother in law and feel like it must be wired incorrectly. When I turn it on warm or low it cooks the food so hot it burns it (I have used it recently for work potlucks because I love the locking lid). Within 2 hours of being on low the meatballs they were a blackened charred mess. Another day I put homemade mashed potatoes in there and I put it on keep warm and they had completely liquified within 4 hours. I didn’t know potatoes could liquify. Which I had contributed it to possible user error and not putting on low or warm like I had intended. Yesterday I pulled it out to use for a party and I turned it on high to heat my baked beans up and they were barely warm by the time the party started an hour and half later. Which I was home with and ensuring that it was on the correct high setting. So now I am sure it’s a defect.

Defective Heating Element
We bought this less than a month ago, and used it only twice when we noticed that no matter the setting, everything kept boiling. Even on 'Keep Warm'! I was so disappointed to learn that the heating element is malfunctioning. Good news: Crockpot is sending a free replacement. Now we have to find a way to responsibly recycle the defective unit, since Crockpot doesn't want it back, and Best Buy won't take it. We can always use the ceramic insert, but the base is the problem. Any suggestions besides throwing it in the trash would be appreciated.

On warm, it is WAY too hot!
I have two different 6 quart CrockPots with clamp-down lids. This model actually turns UP the heat when it switches to warm. Filled with water, it runs about 197 degrees after 6 hours on low, but when switched to warm, it heats up to 210 degrees within 1 to 2 hours, which causes the water to simmer. This would cause actual food to possibly be even hotter than this and probably burn, due to sugars and fats being able to heat hotter than water. For comparison, my other model, SCCPCTS605-S-A, heats to 194 degrees on low, and 164 degrees on warm.

The “Cook & Carry” feature is particularly convenient. The locking lid is a game-changer, preventing spills and making it easy to transport dishes to gatherings without worrying about leaks. The slow cooker also includes adjustable heat settings—high, low, and warm—which provide control over how your food cooks. One small downside is that the slow cooker is a bit bulky, which might be an issue if you have limited counter or storage space. Additionally, the ceramic insert is heavy, especially when full, which can make it cumbersome to handle.

Only lasted less than 2 years
Bought in November 2022. Just went to use it now (Aug. 2024) and it will not turn on. Less than two years old and will not turn on. I am not happy with this product. I also agree that the temperature is the same whether on warm, low or high. This pot cooks very high. You cannot cook on low because it will be done as if cooking on high. The only thing I liked was the top because you could carry it to a party without worrying if it would tip over and spill. I will not be replacing this particular crockpot. I do have a smaller one that is fine.

Junk Junk Junk, burns everything and the company won't admit it has an issue. This crock pot has move 1 start reviews than 5 start, so what do that tell you. Customer service tells you to fill the crock pot 1/2 to 3/4 full to prevent burning. What kind of crap is that??? I now have a 100 dollar paper weight, and it doesn't even do that very well. On to Black and Decker.....
