Care & Maintenance
- ALWAYS turn your unit off, unplug it from the electrical outlet, and allow it to cool before cleaning. Dishwasher safe parts can be washed in the dishwasher or with hot, soapy water. Do not use abrasive cleaning compounds or scouring pads. A cloth, sponge, or rubber spatula will usually remove residue. To remove water spots and other stains, use a non-abrasive cleaner or vinegar. As with any fine ceramic, the stoneware and lid will not withstand sudden temperature changes. Do not wash the stoneware or lid with cold water when they are hot.

I love this Crock Pot!
I bought mine more then 20 years ago and it's still going strong! I'm a senior and single so it's a godsend. The cookbook included is an added bonus. Super easy to use, just set it and forget it. I plan on using it Sunday for The Super Bowl.

I will have this a long time.
I inherited my mother's old crockpot and used it many years but the knob fell off and of course back then the crock was not removable. I was ready for another and I love the damask design. Easy to clean and looks pretty too.

It's alright. It gets really hot on the outside and that's a compromise on safety. I don't like how it only sits on 3 legs instead of 4, which makes the appliance all the more unstable. The design could be so much better.

Perfect for busy parents
The design is very simple and easy to use. My mom used this to make lots of food that need times to process such as Pho, beef stew, etc It consumes not so much energy but just time. You need to let the pot slowly cook and process your food few hours or maybe over night for bone-in-meat for better result. Just one thing I dislike about this is the pot. It’s too heavyyyy and fragile, really difficult to wash For the busy parent, nothing screams easy supper better than a Crock-Pot. Prep and set up the night before or in the morning before you go to work and then bam, suppers almost ready by the time the work day grind has ended. Soups, cheese dips, fix and forget meals; the sky's the limit with the crock pot. A couple of Christmases ago I bought this crocpot on clearance at walmart. I could not believe i only paid 10 dollars for it. It is still working and I would highly recommend this. I have made alot of delicious meals like roast pinto beans even bbq pulled pork. It does cook the food quicker than most so if it says cook in crackpot for 5 hours it comes out just right in 3 or 4.

Yes, it is common for the lid to fit on loosely, as a gradual amount of steam and pressure should be allowed to escape so that the food is not overcooked. This is a deliberate design choice. Thank you.

The odor you are describing is definitely not a common occurrence. If you inspect the stoneware, do you see any cracks or imperfections in the glaze? If you do, we would not advise continuing to use the part. If there are no defects, you may need to deep clean your stoneware. To do this, fill the stoneware with a vinegar and water solution and allow it to sit for at least an hour. This should take care of any lingering odors. We recommend cooking the stock on low. Both the low and high settings will reach a maximum temperature of approximately 215 degrees Fahrenheit, but they cycle differently in that the low setting cycles off of that temperature more frequently. Therefore, the High setting will still cook the food in a shorter period of time than the Low setting will.
