Care & Maintenance

ALWAYS turn your unit off, unplug it from the electrical outlet, and allow it to cool before cleaning. Dishwasher safe parts can be washed in the dishwasher or with hot, soapy water. Do not use abrasive cleaning compounds or scouring pads. A cloth, sponge, or rubber spatula will usually remove residue. To remove water spots and other stains, use a non-abrasive cleaner or vinegar. As with any fine ceramic, the stoneware and lid will not withstand sudden temperature changes. Do not wash the stoneware or lid with cold water when they are hot.

Rated 2 out of 5 by NTM53 from I have had Crockpot brands for years. received this for Xmas and almost burnt the first meal. I noticed when turned on low it boiled my beef stroganoff. Thought would try again- made beef stew and it boiled on the low so switched to warm feature and still boiled. So tried today for the third time- made Beef stroganoff again- set it on low and within 1 1/2 hours the edges were boiling. So turned it to warm and continued to boil for over an hour. Had to turn it off and transfer to a traditional pot so wouldn't destroy the meal. Very different than first one I bought.Very disappointed in this version.

Rated 3 out of 5 by Crockpot lover from This replacement is not the same! I purchased this crockpot model to replace a similar one I had for years. I had to replace it because the ceramic pot cracked in half in the older one. I specifically searched for one exactly the same because it was the perfect size for smaller meals and I like the “ keeping warm” feature. I have been using Crockpot for almost 40 years. Unfortunately this newer version does not live up to it’s predecessor. Low setting gets too hot and cooks food too quickly and actually reaches a low boil. Not the low slow simmer I was used to. Another minor complaint is that the lid has the handle screwed to it and after running it through the dishwasher I actually must remove the handle from the lid to dry up the water that gets retained between the handle and glass lid. I’m managing but I miss my “old” crockpot!

I have to take the food out and cook it in my stove, which defeats the purpose. I’ve used Crockpot products for years. This is my third. So disappointed.

Rated 5 out of 5 by LadyTofLytham from Every Busy Home Needs One! Coming home to perfectly cooked dinner is an absolute joy. Minimal preparation is needed to achieve amazing meals every time. My 4 quart digital crockpot is the best purchase ever! This is my second purchase in 35 years and only after reading the instructions did I find out the cooking temperature is the same on the Low and High settings~the difference is how long it takes to reach the temperature. Who knew! My only issue is deciding what to cook. Thank you for an amazing product.

Rated 3 out of 5 by E123 from Low is VERY low. Only has three feet/legs-it tips! Used for the first time this morning-- weird smell for first hour. After three hours, three thawed chicken breasts were still almost completely raw! I've had various crockpots for over 30 years and never seen one cook at such a low temp. This model only has three bumps for legs/feet on the bottom so the unit is not stable and can easily wobble. What a terrible design!

For Digital Countdown Slow Cookers, when the cooking time has completed, the Crockpot Slow cooker automatically shifts to the WARM setting and the WARM light illuminates. We do not recommend using the WARM setting for more
than 4 hours.

To turn the Crockpot slow cooker off, press the OFF/POWER button and unplug the unit from the outlet.

Please know that both high and low stabilize at the same temperature (209&deg;F); it is just a matter of how long it takes to reach the simmer point. On high, it takes approximately 3-4 hours, whereas, on low, it takes approximately 7-8 hours to reach the simmer point. KEEP WARM is ONLY for keeping already cooked food warm.
