Care & Maintenance

ALWAYS turn your unit off, unplug it from the electrical outlet, and allow it to cool before cleaning. Dishwasher safe parts can be washed in the dishwasher or with hot, soapy water. Do not use abrasive cleaning compounds or scouring pads. A cloth, sponge, or rubber spatula will usually remove residue. To remove water spots and other stains, use a non-abrasive cleaner or vinegar. As with any fine ceramic, the stoneware and lid will not withstand sudden temperature changes. Do not wash the stoneware or lid with cold water when they are hot.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Boltz from Great ... But.... Bought this about 1 month ago, used it once and one of the "feet" fell off. Unfortunately there are no replacement feet available for this model. So now I have a wobbly Crock-Pot! Other than that it seems like a great slow cooker. Its great for keeping food warm at a potluck ( the reason we purchased the item) and its nice since people don't have to figure out where to sit the lid down while getting food. Overall it seems like a good product and I dislike the fact that I will not be able to use it since the "foot" fell off and can now be a safety hazard. Its a same such a well loved brand made a product that falls apart during its first use.

Rated 1 out of 5 by Chyloef from So disappointed I am an avid crock pot “chef” and purchased this model as an upgrade to my old school round manual crock pot after the handle broke off of the lid. First time using it and right away I was concerned that the seal of the lid was not proper due to the hinge. I placed my ingredients and set the timer only to come home and find out that I was right, the seal of the lid is not right. My meal had completely dried out, a whole crock pot full of chicken Alfredo completely dried out. I will give this pot one more try, paying close attention to the lids seal when I set it and if it dries my food out again I will return it.

Rated 1 out of 5 by Churchlady from Too Hot I purchased the Lift and Serve model 2 weeks ago, primarily to take to church pot luck dinners, I thought the lift and serve lid was a great idea, no more drips. I'm so very disappointed in this model. I the one I bought was defective. I've tried 3 different tried and true slow recipes, and it over cooked each one. Yesterday it burned up a batch of crock pot candy. In less than 2 hours i had burned mass of chocolate and peanuts. The unit was set on the lowest setting, this recipe usually cooks for 6 to 8 hours back to Wal-Mart it goes.

Rated 3 out of 5 by Sharon3357 from Love it but a little problem A friend brought one of these to a dinner party and I liked it. I let family know I wanted this Crock Pot because of the lid. The last 3 I've had to replace the lids because they fell on the floor and broke. I received this Crock Pot for Christmas. I used it for practice the day after. However, I noticed that the food was cooking slow. I found that when I closed the lid, the back of the lid lifted up so it was not sealed as it should have been. I used it and had to put the to down every time I opened it. I replaced it and the same thing. The friend said he has the same problem and so does his sister. He has told Crock Pot and is still waiting for a response. Because I like it, I will just have to be mindful to push the lid down hard.

It easily and completely cooked a frozen chicken meal in six hours on high that I was able to program. The programming could not be easier and only pushing a button is needed. My favorite part is the Lift & Serve lid. I was able to check on the meal several times without having to remove and set down a hot and steamy lid as I have with every other crock-pot I have used. So virtuallty mess free while checking or adding ingredients. It was an easy clean up and ready to go for the next meal.
