Tailgate Chili Slow Cooker Recipe

Want to be the hit of the tailgate? Make this tasty, and super meaty chili, for the next game day! Top with cheddar cheese and sour cream, add crackers, and enjoy!

Ingredients:
  • 15 ½ ounces can light kidney beans
  • 1 pound ground chuck or beef
  • 1 pound sausage
  • 28 ounces tomato purée
  • 14 ½ ounces diced tomatoes
  • 15 ½ ounces tomato sauce
  • 8 ounces tomato paste
  • 1 tsp kosher salt
  • 1 tsp pepper
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 ¼ ounces chili seasoning mix-mild
  • 1 medium yellow onion, finely diced
  • 12 ounces light beer
  • 2 ½ cups water
Instructions:
  1. Brown beef and sausage. Drain well and set aside.
  2. Mix all other ingredients (except kidney beans) in a large Crockpot™ slow cooker.
  3. Add meat.
  4. Cover, and cook on LOW for 3 hours, or on HIGH for 1 ½ hours. 
  5. Add kidney beans during the last 30 minutes of cooking.
  6. Serve with cheddar cheese, sour cream, crackers, and enjoy!
