Honey Soy Pork Belly Sous Vide Recipe

Ingredients:
    • 1 ¾ pounds boneless pork belly, cut into 2 ½-inch strips
    • 2 tablespoons ginger paste
    • ½ cup soy sauce
    • 1 tablespoon avocado oil
    • 3 tablespoons sriracha
    • ½ cup honey
    • Pepper flakes
    • Cilantro
Instructions:
  1. Fill your Crock-Pot® slow cooker with Sous Vide ¾ full with hot water, then secure the lid.
  2. Insert the temperature probe into one of the openings on the lid. Press SOUS VIDE; set temperature to 165°F, and set time to 12 hours.
  3. Press START, and prep pork while the unit preheats.
  4. Add ginger paste, soy sauce, sriracha, and honey to a bowl; whisk to combine.
  5. Place pork belly into a resealable food storage bag. Pour sauce over pork belly until covered; seal bag.
  6. Once your slow cooker is preheated, fully submerge the bag. Secure lid and probe; press START.
  7. Press STOP after the timer ends. Allow pork to rest in the bag for 15 minutes.
  8. Remove pork from bag; reserve cooking liquid. Pat pork dry.
  9. Heat a skillet over medium high heat. Add oil to the pan.
  10. Sear pork belly on all sides until browned and crispy; 1 to 2 minutes per side.
  11. Remove pork from skillet and set aside.
  12. Add cooking liquid to skillet, and cook until reduced by half.
  13. Drizzle glaze over pork. If desired, garnish with cilantro and pepper flakes.
  14. Serve and enjoy!
