Citrus Chinese Dates with Toasted Hazelnuts Express Pressure Cooker Recipe

Ingredients:
2 cups pitted dates
¾ cup water
3 tablespoons sugar
Strips of peel from 1 lemon (yellow part only)
¼ cup hazelnuts, shelled and toasted*
Whipped cream (optional)
*To toast hazelnuts, spread in single layer in heavy skillet. Cook and stir over medium heat 1 to 2 minutes or until nuts are lightly browned.
Instructions:
Combine dates, water, sugar and lemon peel in Crockpot™ Express Pressure Cooker. Secure lid. Press MANUAL PRESSURE, set temperature to HIGH and time to 4 minutes. Make sure Steam Release Valve is in the "Seal" (closed) position. Press START/STOP.
Once cooking is complete, natural release pressure 5 minutes. Release remaining pressure.
Place dates in serving dishes. Sprinkle with hazelnuts. Top with whipped cream, if desired.
