Chocolate Malt Pudding Cake Slow Cooker Recipe

  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • ½ cup packed brown sugar
  • 2 tablespoons unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1 ½ teaspoons baking powder
  • ½ cup milk
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • ½ teaspoon almond extract
  • ½ cup coarsely chopped malted milk balls
  • ½ cup semisweet chocolate chips
  • ½ cup granulated sugar
  • ¼ cup malted milk powder
  • 2 cups boiling water
  • 4 ounces cream cheese, cubed, at room temperature
  • ¼ cup sliced almonds (optional)
  • Vanilla ice cream (optional)
  1. Grease the inside of your Crockpot® Slow Cooker with butter. Combine flour, brown sugar, cocoa, and baking powder in medium bowl. Add milk, oil, and almond extract; stir until smooth.
  2. Stir in malted milk balls and chocolate chips. Spread batter in bottom of slow cooker.
  3. Combine granulated sugar and malted milk powder in medium bowl. Mix boiling water and cream cheese in another bowl. Stir into malted milk mixture. Pour evenly over batter in slow cooker. Do not stir.
  4. Cover; cook on HIGH 2 to 2 ½ hours or until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean.
  5. Serve with almonds or ice cream and enjoy!
