Chicken Tagine with Lemon and Olives Slow Cooker Recipe

Ingredients:
  • 1 onion, finely chopped
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • Grated peel and juice of 1 lemon
  • 2 teaspoons dried rosemary (or 2 tablespoons chopped fresh rosemary)
  • 1 teaspoon dried thyme (or 1 tablespoon fresh thyme)
  • 4 chicken leg quarters
  • 20 pitted green olives, crushed
  • 2 tablespoons butter, cut into small pieces
  • 2 tablespoons water
  • 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour

Instructions:

  1. Combine onion, garlic, lemon peel and juice, rosemary, and thyme in your Crockpot® Slow Cooker. Add chicken and top with olives and butter. Cover and cook on LOW for 5 to 6 hours.
  2. Remove chicken. Turn slow cooker to HIGH. Combine flour and water in a small bowl; whisk together and add to slow cooker. Cover and cook on HIGH for 10 to 15 minutes until sauce is thickened.
  3. Serve hot and enjoy!
