Cheesy Egg Bites Sous Vide Recipe
Make this trendy recipe yourself and skip the long lines at your favorite coffee shop! With sous vide your egg bites will come out light, creamy, and delicious every time.
Ingredients:
- 6 eggs
- 1 cup shredded Swiss cheese
- ½ cup small curd cottage cheese
- ½ teaspoon salt
Instructions:
Cheesy Egg Bites
- Fill Crock-Pot® Slow Cooker with Sous Vide ¾ full with hot water; secure lid.
- Insert the temperature probe into one of the openings in the lid, making sure the end of the probe is submerged in water.
- Press SOUS VIDE, then set temperature to 170°F and time to 60 minutes.
- Press START and the unit will begin preheating.
- Combine eggs, Swiss cheese, cottage cheese and salt in a blender or food processor and blend for 30 seconds.
- Fill 6 (4-ounce) mason jars ¾ full; top with lids.
- Once the slow cooker is preheated, add jars.
- Secure lid and probe, then press START.
- Press STOP after the timer ends.
- Remove lids and gently slide a knife around the edges.
- Invert onto a large plate.
- If desired, top with additional cheese. Broil 3 to 5 minutes until cheese is melted and tops are slightly browned.
- Serve and enjoy!
Cheesy Tomato Florentine Egg Bites
- Add 2 teaspoons finely chopped fresh spinach and 2 teaspoons finely chopped fresh tomatoes to the bottom of each mason jar.
- Top with egg mixture.
Cheesy Bacon or Ham Swiss Egg Bites
- Add 1 tablespoon bacon, cooked and crumbled, or finely diced ham to the bottom of each mason jar.
- Top with egg mixture.
