Best No-Bean Slow Cooker Chili
No beans? No problem. This easy slow cooker recipe is packed with so much ground turkey, peppers, and fire-roasted tomatoes you won’t miss the beans at all.
Ingredients:
- 2 tablespoons olive oil, divided
- 1 ½ pounds ground turkey
- 2 medium onions, chopped
- 1 medium red bell pepper, chopped
- 1 medium green bell pepper, chopped
- 5 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 jalapeño pepper, finely chopped
- 2 cans (about 14 ounces, each) fire-roasted diced tomatoes
- 4 teaspoons chili powder
- 1 teaspoon ground cumin
- 1 teaspoon dried oregano
- ½ teaspoon salt
Instructions:
- Heat 1 tablespoon oil in large skillet, over medium-high heat. Add turkey; cook 7 to 8 minutes, stirring to break up meat. Transfer to Crockpot™ Slow Cooker, using slotted spoon.
- Heat remaining 1 tablespoon oil in same skillet over medium-high heat. Add onions, bell peppers, garlic, and jalapeño pepper; cook and stir 4 to 5 minutes or until softened. Stir in tomatoes, chili powder, cumin, oregano, and salt; cook 1 minute.
- Remove onion mixture to Crockpot™ slow cooker. Cover; cook on LOW 6 hours. Garnish as desired.
