It has a lid...why did some answers say it doesn't
My Crock Pot Little Dipper was about $20 and comes with a lid. You can cook spinach artichoke dip in it just fine. Is there a different Little Dipper being sold that has all these shortcomings? (No lid, not hot enough to cook in?) Like are they talking about the Little Dipper that comes with the enormous Crock Pots? Because if you buy the Little Dipper sold on its own, it has a lid and gets hot enough to cook things. I love mine, it's super cute, and was my birthday present to me this year :)

Love the Little DIpper
I love using the "Little Dipper" food warmer as a simmer pot. It's great to leave on the counter with orange slices, cinnamon sticks, cloves, etc. to make the home smell cozy. Absolutely love this product. We've also used the Little Dipper for dips during parties and gatherings.

Hello, Thank you for your inquiry about our Crockpot&trade; Little Dipper&reg; Food Warmer. To clean the unit, allow it to cool first. It must never be submerged in water or other liquid. After emptying, fill the Little dipper with warm soapy water to loosen food remains. Abrasive cleaners must not be used; a cloth, sponge or rubber spatula will usually remove any residue. To remove any water spots or other stains, use a non-abrasive cleaner or vinegar. The outside of the unit may be cleaned with a soft cloth and warm soapy water. Wipe dry. This temperature is ideal for keeping dips, sauces, and melted chocolate warm without burning. Although I've had mine for more than 15 years, I used it for the first time today. My Little Dipper kept water at 147 degrees. I heated the water in a coffee cup in the microwave first since it wasn't warming in the Little Dipper after 15 minutes of trying. So I would recommend you prepare your recipe by another method and transfer it to the Little Dipper to keep it warm. It was perfect to keep the water warm while I submerged a glass jar of honey in the water bath to melt out the honey crystals.
