The temperature of the little dipper reaches up to 160 - 170&deg;F, with the melting temperature of wax being at approximately 147&deg;F, the unit will melt it however the amount of time it will take will depend on the amount and starting temperature of the wax. Hello. The stoneware of your CrockPot Little Dipper Food Warmer is non-removable. To clean your Little Dipper Warmer unplug it and allow it to cool. Please remember to never submerge the unit in water or other liquid. After emptying, fill with warm soapy water to loosen food remains. Do not use abrasive cleaners, a cloth, sponge, or rubber spatula will usually remove any residue. To remove any water spots or other stains, use a non-abrasive cleaner or vinegar. You may clean the outside of the unit with a soft cloth and warm soapy water.
