I try to cook everyhting but my steaks in it!I have had my eight quart for three years. I am also a single man that doesnt have alot of time to cook. I use my cooker to do the heavy lifting such as making pinto beans or homemade chili all the way up to briskets with vegetables and pork roasts to turkeys. I marinate the meat for two days, put it in set the time I am going to be at work and when I get home I have three days of dinner waiting for me. My cooker sames me serious money and I eat better than eating out. Thank you for making it easy to be healthier.

Perfect Size!I used this at Christmas to cook a very large pork roast with added 5lb potatoes, 2lb carrots, and 3 onions. I had prepared all this the night before and the roast was still frozen and sat on top of the veggies above the crock pot. I covered it in Press and Seal and just laid the lid on top. As the roast cooked down, the lid settled easily on the pot. It cooked perfectly as it was. The size was perfect. I couldn't believe how much it held. If I was to complain about this in any way it would be that the lid did not lock in place for travel, but I don't intend to carry such a heavy load out anyway so we're good.

I love it!My wife and son bought this for me at Christmas. I have been using this almost 3 times a month for dinner recipes. So far, so good. Cooks a little fast, but I like that. Better than slow. This has replaced my 6 Qt. Wish it was bigger.

disappointedWe got this as a gift last year? We used it rather infrequently and one of the feet broke off. Now it wobbles on the counter, thought I might order new feet. The on-line help desk identified that they don't have replacement feet for it. I guess a Crock-Pot manufactured in 2015 is not worth repairing? Difficult to justify buying a new Crock-Pot.

too hot!My lid for my old stoneware crockpot that I've had for years, and have loved, broke right before thanksgiving. I purchased this model and am so disappointed. The exterior gets incredibly hot to the touch, even when using the warm and low settings. Two recipes that I've made for years in my stoneware crockpot without ever having an issue, burned in this one. Hopeful I can find a replacement lid for the old, do not want to try this new one again. Really hope I can return this one, waste of good money. Would only recommend finding an older, sturdier crockpot, not this new model.

Overall Satisfied but could have been better.I recently purchased the traveling 6.5 Quart Crock Pot, and did a pot roast, and needed some more room, so I purchased this 8.5 Crock Pot with the accessory Little Warmer to make larger meals.
I ordered not only this unit, but an extra Little Warmer. They all arrived in good shape, well packaged, and I was happy. When I unpacked the crock pot, I noticed a big difference in the outer casing than the 6.5 I already had. It was thinner, more lightweight in metal. It almost doesn't feel like metal at all, but it is.
The lid is stout and fits nicely in the molded cutout in the stoneware. The stoneware is nice, however, mine has a nick in it, and the pottery is exposed a little, where the coating did not reach. It was evident that this nick happened in the molding process, prior to being kiln fired, and glazed.
Where I was really disappointed was in the control knob. Now I know it just turns the unit off, low, high, and warm, but it is cheaply made and feels loose on the dial spindle. It reminds me of a cheap plastic toy. There are no indicator lights on this unit. You can only tell that it is working by feeling the heat radiating off the sides of the pot.
The Little Warmer is great, although I would have much preferred a glass top than the really cheaply done plastic lid. I also noticed too, that the Little Warmer that came with the Crock Pot is larger in size, height and diameter. I was puzzled at this. So I have two different sized Little Warmers.
Overall I like the way the Crock Pot cooked my pot roast. I do not regret making my purchase, but would like to of seen some better materials used in making this appliance. Also, the size difference in the Little Warmer's left me puzzled. That's why I dinged it two stars.

Not Fooled from
Great, But Not PerfectThe capacity is great as I often double the recipes to freeze for a later date. The reason for 4 stars is the fact that the rubber feet do not stay attached. I've been replacing them but now it wobbles as I can't find the one rubber foot pad. Bad design flaw, you shouldn't have to go chasing for these if they were properly attached.
