The warmer will reach between 165&deg; and 175&deg; Fahrenheit. This warmer can heat up rice, however the rice would already need to be cooked. We hope this information helps. It is designed only to warm up leftovers, soups, oatmeal and any number of favorites. You plug it in and it warms up the food. It is designed to warm up low and slow. The warmer will reach between 165&deg; and 175&deg; Fahrenheit. Heat times will vary up to 30min depending on the type of food being warmed and the starting temperature of the food.
