The Spiciest Slow Cooker Dishes

If you're a heat-seeking daredevil with an appetite, look no further. Some of the spiciest and tastiest meals are made in a slow cooker. Have you ever wondered what it feels like to be one of those fire eaters from Cirque du Soleil? These recipes won't put embers in your mouth, but it might feel that way. Start Mild with Buffalo Chicken Dip

Don't just dive into the spiciest option available. Ease into the fiery flavor with this hot dip first. Pulled chicken makes it all the better.


  • 16 ounces of cream cheese
  • 1 cup ranch dressing
  • 1/2 cup red hot sauce or buffalo sauce
  • 1 half boneless skinless chicken breast
  • 3 cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 cup minced jalepenos​.


  1. Stir in the cream cheese, hot sauce, ranch dressing and jalapenos into the slow cooker, mixing thoroughly.
  2. Add the chicken and set to high for 1 hour.
  3. Shred the chicken using two forks and add the shredded cheddar cheese. Cook for an additional 2-3 hours.

Serve with tortilla chips and add more hot sauce if you really want to feel the heat.

Move to the Jambalaya Burner

Now that you're warmed up, go on to something even hotter with a little seafood twist.


  • 2 boneless skinless chicken breast halves cut into cubes
  • 1 pound spicy andouille sausage (sliced)
  • 1 pound frozen cooked shrimp without the tails
  • 1 white onion (chopped)
  • 1 bell pepper (chopped)
  • 2 celery stalks (chopped)
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • 1/2 stick of butter
  • 1 28-ounce can diced tomatoes
  • 3 bay leaves
  • 1 teaspoon thyme
  • 1/2 teaspoon paprika
  • 3 teaspoons hot pepper sauce
  • 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 3 cloves garlic (minced)
  • 1 tablespoon cayenne pepper
  • 3 cups uncooked rice.


  1. Mix all ingredients except for the shrimp into the slow cooker, adding the seasonings last. Put on the lid and cook on the high setting for 1 hour.
  2. Set to low and cook for another 6-7 hours.
  3. Add the shrimp and stir for the last 30 minutes of cooking. 

For the Real Deal, Cook Habanero Chili

This last recipe isn't for the faint of heart. For the real hotheads, this is the chili for you.


  • 2 pounds ground beef
  • 1 pound ground pork
  • 1 bell pepper (chopped)
  • 1 red onion (diced)
  • 2 celery stalks (chopped)
  • 5 jalapeno peppers (seeded and chopped)
  • 6 habanero peppers (seeded and chopped)
  • 4 poblano peppers (seeded and diced)
  • 3 garlic cloves (diced)
  • 2 tablespoons cumin
  • 2 teaspoons crushed red pepper 
  • 2 28-ounce cans crushed tomatoes
  • 2 16-ounce cans dark red kidney beans
  • 3 bay leaves.


  1. ​Add the ground beef and pork into the slow cooker and set to high until browned evenly, stirring when necessary.
  2. Stir in the remaining ingredients, adding seasonings and bay leaves last.
  3. Set to low and simmer for 6 hours.

Serve with plenty of bread and water to go around. You and the guests may need it.
