Eggnog Lattes in Your Slow Cooker

Let's be honest - is there any other beverage better suited for bringing in the holiday season than eggnog? This festive favorite has a staple place in your holiday feast, but did you know you can use your slow cooker to prepare a homemade and unconventional version of this wintry classic?

Wake your holiday guests in the morning with the sweet aroma of this tasty treat this season.

What You'll Need:

Brewing Your Beverage
Start by warming up your Crock-Pot® Digital Slow Cooker with iStir™ Stirring System - this slow cooker is ideal for your lattes, as it can continuously stir your drink without forcing you to remove the cover and ruin the integrity of your beverage. Set the slow cooker on high, then add 3 cups brewed coffee, 5 cups prepared eggnog and 1 tablespoon vanilla extract. In a medium bowl, whisk together 1/4 cup packed brown sugar, 1/4 cup granulated sugar and 1 teaspoon cinnamon. Add the dry ingredients to the slow cooker and allow the brew to stir for about 2 hours. Serve topped with whipped cream, a sprinkle of cinnamon and chocolate flakes.

Serve with Slow Cooker Coffee Cake
Want to treat your holiday guests to a tasty breakfast? Consider serving your delicious homemade eggnog lattes along with a filling and festive breakfast dish that can be easily prepared in your slow cooker. To really wow your loved ones, prepare Crock-Pot Girl™ Jenn Bare's Slow Cooker Apple Pie Coffee Cake the night before. After your eggnog lattes have finished brewing, serve them directly from your stoneware - keeping the drink warm in the process - along with a slice of coffee cake.

Due to the slow ramp up, and even heating of a slow cooker, recipes featured on this site can be cooked in a range of slow cooker sizes. Recipes can be increased or decreased by one quart size per the cooking instructions. For smaller sauces and dips that calls for 3 quarts or less, it is not recommended to alter the unit size.
