What you'll need:
- 1/4 cup flour
- 1 1/2 teaspoons paprika
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon pepper
- 1 1/2 cups beef broth
- 2 pounds stew beef
- 1 onion, diced
- 2 potatoes, chopped
- 1 butternut squash, peeled, scooped and chopped
- 1 red bell pepper, chopped
Add flour, paprika, garlic powder, salt and pepper to the slow cooker, then pour in the beef broth. Once the dry ingredients have dissolved, add the stew beef. Next, add the vegetables - onion, potatoes, squash and red pepper - then stir all the ingredients together until they're well-blended. Set the slow cooker to high and cook for four hours, or set it to low and cook for eight hours.
