Frequently Asked Questions

WHAT IS IT?

What are Crock-Pot® Slow Cooker Liners made of?

The liners are made of nylon resin to ensure safe cooking at  any temperature setting when using with your Crock-Pot® slow cooker.

Are Crock-Pot® Slow Cooker Liners a Kosher product?

Yes, this product is certified Kosher and carries the Kosher symbol.

Are Crock-Pot® Slow Cooker Liners BPA-free?

Yes, Crock-Pot® Slow Cooker Liners are BPA-free and meet the requirements of US FDA 21CFR 177.1500 – Nylon resins for cooking temperatures up to of 400°F.

HOW DO I USE IT?

Why did my box of Crock-Pot® Slow Cooker Liners come with stickers?

Labels are provided for convenient labeling of leftover foods. Labels are for use only on disposable containers.

Can I stir the food while using Crock-Pot® Slow Cooker Liners?

Yes, stir your recipes using a wood, plastic, or nylon utensil.  Do not use metal utensils or utensils having sharp edges or tips, as they can tear the liner.

What if the Crock-Pot® Slow Cooker Liner sticks to the bottom of the slow cooker?

Rarely does the liner stick to the bottom of the slow cooker, but if it does, it’s usually due to a tear in the liner.  To remove stuck-on food and the liner, allow the slow cooker to cool to room temperature, then soak the slow cooker bowl in warm water, gently wash away all residue before using the cooker again.

What size slow cooker will Crock-Pot® Liners work best with?

Crock-Pot® Slow Cooker Liners are 13” x 20.3” and work best using round or oval slow cookers that hold a capacity ranging from 3 quarts to 7 quarts.

Can I wash and reuse the liners?

No. Crock-Pot® Slow Cooker Liners are disposable and intended for one-time use only. Do not wash and reuse this product.

Can I prepare ingredients ahead and refrigerate in the Crock-Pot® Slow Cooker Liner?

Yes, follow package directions for lining the slow cooker bowl. Place food in the lined-slow cooker bowl, cover and refrigerate. When ready to cook, place slow cooker bowl in slow cooker heating unit, then turn the slow cooker on. Cook according to the recipe.  Remove all foods from the slow cooker bowl before removing the liner to prevent tearing.

Can Crock-Pot® Slow Cooker Liners be used to freeze left overs?

Leftover food should only be stored in the liner while still in the slow cooker bowl. At no time should the liner be lifted from the bowl with food inside. While the slow cooker liner material is excellent for cooking, it does not provide a barrier against moisture loss for food that common freezer bags do. Freezer storage is not recommended for slow cooker bowls.

Can I use Crock-Pot® Slow Cooker Liners in the microwave?

No. Crock-Pot® Slow Cooker Liners are not designed for use in a microwave oven.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Slow Cooker Liners Love these liners! unload the CrockPot and throw away the liner! Makes cooking a breeze. I've been using the liners for many years and don't even think about scrubbing out the CrockPot anymore.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great replacement the crock is a perfect replacement to the one that broke. Thought I was going to have to replace the entire crockpot. Easy fix.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from I haven't used them yet but they seem to be okay in the box.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from The liners keep the pot clean and from scorching. I found with my last crock it was difficult to clean after slow cooking all day. I cracked it trying to scrub it clean. So I thought I would purchase the liners with my new Crock-Pot. They work well. It takes some getting used to when stirring with a bag in the Pot. Also, pouring the contents out of the bag can be a little tricky. At least I don't have to worry about scouring it or breaking it.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Terrrible idea and product! It's better to manually clean your crock pot so the food goes down the drain for treatment in either a septic tank or sewage plant. We do NOT need more plastic going to the landfills or getting dumped in the oceans! It sits in landfills for hundreds of years and kills thousands of marine life that mistake it for food and eat it! In landfills, it becomes plastic sand and you can't grow anything in this type of soil. You cannot recycle it either! A definite scourge for your descendants!!! Demand they come up with a more environmentally responsible product!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I started using the liner bags within the last year and though I forgot to use one a couple times after I bought them, I am now so much in the habit I could not forget. So much easier to not have to clean the crock. I won't do without.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Easy Cleanup! Ordered a large quantity so I don't run out any time soon. I won't use my Crock Pot unless I have the liners because cleanup is so much easier with them! Great product, easy to use.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love these liners I recently discovered these liners and I love them. I use my Crock Pot once a week and this makes the clean up a non factor, just rise the pot out when finished. I am able to get double use out of the liner, I cook my meat (beef, chicken or pork) and then I use the juices from the meat to make a pot of beans. I just remove the meat, add beans and a little water and then cook again in the same line, Great flavor, no mess and a great value. I like these over other liners because they are BPA Free.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Great idea but they leak a little. I just got these and I'm telling you, it's great to not try and wash a 7 qt crock pot in an apartment sized sink. However, it leaked a little. Nothing major, I just wiped it up with a dishrag and called it good enough.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great for clean up!! Does leave condensation in the pot. witch is easer to clean up then the dirty pot.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Quality and Fast Clean Up In the past, I've used store-brand slow cooker liners. The quality was very poor. Often the liners would tear when I carefully tried to stir the soup, roast, or other items in the pot. As a result, the clean up was even worse than having no liner at all. In contrast, I have not had any problems with the Crock-Pot brand liners. They are large enough to fit all my slow cookers. I bought several boxes and now look forward to cooking means in my Crock-Pot.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Product! This is the 1st time I tried slow cooker liners. It worked very well. The liner held up well everywhere except where I inadvertently pierced a whole (my fault - I'll know better next time). Makes clean-up a breeze! Well worth the price in time & labor savings. Plan to use every time & highly recommend. Great Product!
