Rated 3 out of 5 slight problem with the lid I recently purchased this and was so excited to have it. One thing I was worried about was the lid that fits in the insert. It was so tight I was afraid of it being hard to get off with the hot food. As it turned out, no problem at all. The problem came after. Since I have used it, that lid doesn't fit tight anymore. This morning I put tomato soup in the container, put the lid on and was on my way. The bag tipped over and the soup leaked through the not so tight lid. Now, not only do I have a soupy mess to clean up, I also have to buy my lunch, which was one of the advantages I was hoping to avoid with this. I'm still trying to figure out how to deal with this, as now I am quite frustrated with it. March 12, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by tde117 Best Christmas present I got this year! I received this as a gift after ooh'ing and ahh'ing over it during a shopping trip a few months ago. I'm loving it as we're going through winter, it's plugged in at my desk as I write this. I agree with someone else who mentioned the internal lid popping off, but that's normal from what I've read, so it's all good. Homemade soup just tastes better warmed this way compared to the microwave, and this great little thing adds 5-10 minutes to my lunch hour that I don't have to trek across the building to the break room, wait in line for the microwave, etc. Upon reading the other reviews, I'm anxious to see what else I can try in it - leftover chinese food? Chicken? I'd love for Crock-Pot to make some suggestions that I may not be considering. December 27, 2012
Rated 5 out of 5 by ni22 Loved it! I liked this lunch crock so much I bought it for others. I plug it in and it cycles on and off as needed, no stirring required. Be sure to secure the outer cover tightly. The inner cover pops up after some time to let steam escape. Note that this is not a three prong appliance if your work requires that. I bought extra inserts. They are frequently noted as "out of stock" on the website, but they are available periodically. You just need to keep checking the website and then order them when you see they are available. January 11, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by MrsVitali Love my little crockpot! I have only had my crockpot about 2 weeks now and I have used it several times with no issues. I plug it in as soon as I get to work and by the time I am ready to eat my food is perfectly heated. I don't feel that the container is too small... it will hold a full can of soup with no problem. I can't believe I didn't purchae this sooner, it works so much better than trying to reheat my dinner in a microwave. February 14, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Olive210 Have used it once and I love it! Used it to warm up soup. It heated up perfectly in a couple of hours. Only a couple of things could be improved: 1. The cord is a little hard to rewind back into it's slot (but you can just leave it unwound if you like). 2. The lid is a little hard to screw on... you have to lay it on perfectly for it to catch. Other than those 2 minor inconveniences, so far the little warmer worked like a charm... and it is so cute! :) January 14, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by counselor Excellent I keep the pot in my office and take the liner back and forth. It heats up very quickly and is small enough to keep in my desk. I have a second one at home to make oatmeal. I set it on a timer the night before and the oatmeal is ready for breakfast. Perfect and creamy every time. February 12, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by SueT Love It! Perfect size, food is heated through and through not like the microwave, cold in spots. I bought one for my husband too, we both keep the bases at work and bring the bowls back and forth. January 18, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by eushosh Lunch Crock - love it!! I absolutely LOVE the lunch crock. It sits on my desk at work and I use it all the time through the cold months for lunches (soups, chilis, burritos (filling in the crock, add to tortillas), leftovers, etc). Sometimes I even use it twice a day for breakfast at my desk too (frozen egg/cheese/meat scrambles - they heat up perfectly in the lunch crock) so I had to order extra containers. Basically, anything you could heat up in a microwave can be put in the lunch crock. And it's always heated thoroughly and doesn't taste like it's been nuked like microwave food does. I find soups only need about 1-2 hours to fully heat up. I always have to turn it off when I get ready to eat the food because it keeps everything so hot. Only one "complaint" - wish it had an on/off switch so I don't have to crawl under my desk at work to plug it in and unplug it all the time. Otherwise, great product and I love it! I've bought a few more for friends and family. The lunch crocks are the perfect size and the handle makes it easy to carry if you want to take the entire unit back and forth. I really recommend this product for hot lunches! January 17, 2013
