I've always owned a traditional Crock Pot with ceramic inserts. I'm so enthralled with this multi cooker I purchased last month.
So far I've used the steam feature, the browning feature and the slow cook feature. All of my dishes have exceeded my expectations.
The ease of use to go from browning to slow cook all in one pot is what makes this multi cooker even more desirable.
I'm looking forward to using this multi cooker for years to come.

Many features, easy to use
It is really nice to brown the meat in the same container as the slow cooker - it works well. My only wish for improvement would be to set to warm independently of the timer - if the food is cooked before the timer goes off and you turn it off, you cannot turn it to warm.

Overall, I am happy with this product. Just wish there were more instructions/recipes. Do you have to adjust cooking time when roasting or baking foods since container is smaller

Very very sad and disappointed
I am considered to be "The crockpot Queen" in my circles. I own and have owned various models of Crockpot offerings from the lunch crock to the ones with unique bells and whistles, etc. My friends, family and coworkers have trusted my savvy product buying instincts and followed suit in making purchases simply based on my say-so.
Well, I just had to have this multi-cooker thingy. I salivated over it many months before I committed. I first cooked chicken by braising it in the brown/sauté mode and finished cooking it on roast. I've done this 2x, so far so good. I was excited to see how it slow cooked dried beans. Well, I cooked these beans for 2 days and they were hard as rocks. When I say 2 days, I mean that I cooked them twice on 11 hrs low, then twice on 6 hours high and very little change in the constitution of the beans. I am aware that using salt and sugar may prevent beans from softening. I did not use salt in its pure form, but did use items with a sodium content, ie canned diced tomatoes and sauce, as well as Braggs liquid Aminos, and chicken broth. The only other contents were onions, garlic, celery, bell peppers and giardinara peppers. These are ingredients I have used successfully I'm my standard 6 and 7qt digital crockpots. After this frustration, I decided to transfer the contents to my 7qt digital.I set it on 8 hrs low and the beans were cooked to absolute perfection. Why, I say, why can't the multi-cooker perform in slow cooker mode? I have fallen out of love with this thing. I will continue using and experimenting to see what else it does and doesn't do well. I will probably use it less often and with skepticism, as I am now gun-shy. And no I did not get this for free to try out. I paid my hard earned money for this disappointment.

Expected much more
I am still trying to figure out the best recipes and the best produce that can be cooked in the slow cooker. However, my few attempts resulted in 30% satisfaction.
1. Sliced potatoes are raw after 7 hours of slow cooking
2. It is not suited for root vegetables. Unlike all the ads, root vegetables remain hard and raw after hours of cooking
3. Timer for Steam function does not work
4. Brown/saute works well
5. Slow cooking function - not good for everything. You need to give it multiple tries.

Hi- I would love to buy a Crock Pot that also has a cooling option to start. I find that even on low my meals come out over cooked because as a working mom I am gone too long to start the Crock Pot when I leave first thing in the morning. Please consider. :)

quality construction woth the extra $$$$
I purchased this a few weeks ago and have made all the main dishes in the included cook book - they all came out great and the entire family enjoyed them. The only disappointing item is the time it takes to preheat. I can understand the initial preheat time, but the times it takes to preheat from the hi brown/sauté setting to bake or roast is slower than I like. This make the time from start to completion a lot longer than you would think when you read the recipe, but once you understand the total time required - you can make your adjustments' to the total prep and cook time. Very please with the product - will most likely buy a second one or at least the cooking pot so we can use it for more meals!
