Rated 5 out of 5 by Momof6 I love this thing!! I love the ability to program exactly how long I want my meal to cook- not just have an every-two-hours increments available like other Smart Pots. After it cooks perfectly, this crock pot then switches to warm, and keeps the food perfect for when you are ready to eat! SO convenient and efficient. July 22, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Smooches23 Even better than my last one! I received this as a gift and loving it so far. Just sad to finally retire my previous digital crockpot after ten years! Crockpot brand is made to last and I am very loyal. This new crockpot is really nice with its beautiful appearance, black porcelain insert (my old white one shows cracks really bad), ability to turn directly to warm (for plugging back in once at your destination), many timer options, and automatically switching to warm at end of cook time. I agree with the other reviewer, the cord is too short- but that's my only complaint. Happy crock-potting! November 10, 2014
Rated 2 out of 5 by Todd0816 Not Programable Don't confuse this with a programmable crackpot. You still need to switch it from Hi to Low. It does automatically switch to warm after done cooking... this is a nice feature.. but I bought it thinking I could program it to cook for an hour on high.... then switch to low. fo "X" many hours.. then it would switch to warm when that was done... I would have bought a cheaper model if I had known. The switching to warm is a nice feature.. but not nearly as useful as changing temps. November 28, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Slowcooker66 Cord is short I Like the size of the 6 qt crockpot. But the cord is way too Short. And the little crockpot is not stable with only 3 bumps for legs. November 3, 2014
Rated 4 out of 5 by moe0477 cooks quick! love the size of height and depth. the countdown is great so i don't have to worry about continually checking on it. July 15, 2014
Rated 1 out of 5 by tracy34 Only works if I stay home and watch it Pretty disappointed with this crockpot. The buttons say "warm", "low", and "high". But really they should say "high", "higher", and "super high". I can only use this if I'm home and available to unplug it every hour, so it can cool down. Even on the "warm" setting it boils everything. I thought the brand CrockPot was a sure thing and I stupidly threw away my receipt and box before using it a couple times. Now I'm stuck with this lemon. Frustrating. December 2, 2014
Rated 4 out of 5 by rhitai Crock-pot keeps on going, and going and going This is the most similar model to what I actually have, which is SCC653. In fact it's so old that it says Rival Crock-Pot on it which indicates that it was made before Crock-pot was made into it's own brand in 2005. I am assuming that it's one of the first digital crock pots made. Because the lid broke and I cannot get a replacement lid I use plastic wrap and foil to keep the heat in, it works ok. I have used this crock pot for my own home but also for fundraising for my children's athletic program. I can always count on it to cook my meals as intended. My favorite part is being able to start something the night before or even early in the day and come home to a hot meal that is just right, because it automatically keeps it hot after the specified cooking time. One thing I've learned is because of that to only use a portion of the run time because it will keep cooking even on warm. The other thing that is great, is this think keeps on going. I keep imagining I will be able to get one of the newer digital ones that are a little more specialized but this crock pot is built to last and I'm not going to replace it if it doesn't need to be yet.
