Rated 5 out of 5 by SusieQ Love the count-down timer, convenient "warm" setting Love my Crock-Pot. My favorite feature is the count-down timer that automatically puts the Crockpot on "Warm" when the cooking time is over. Since the whole point of a slow cooker is to set it and forget it, this feature is great if I'm out of the house or busy with something else when the timer goes off: the meal will be kept warm without over-cooking. Also I like the removable crock. I can't imagine how people can clean up the types where the crock is embedded into the cooker. For me, the crock goes from cooker to server to refrigerator to clean up. So far I have used mine mostly for stews or soups, and everything has come out well at the expected time. Usually I use the "high" setting for 3 1/2 to 4 hours for most recipes. November 18, 2012
Rated 1 out of 5 by Ronald Too hot on low and warm settings Despite the temperature setting, it boils liquid, even set to "keep warm". If you want to only cook on high, it works fine, but it does not function as a slow cooker. December 2, 2012
Rated 5 out of 5 by YogaMom Great Slow Cooker I am very happy with this slow cooker. I bought it for the timer feature. I was surprised that I wasn't limited to only using the timer feature---I could select high/low/keep warm without having to set the timer (I had to do this on my older slow cooker). It heats up quickly. It is a good size for my family of 4. November 29, 2012
Rated 1 out of 5 by JK2000 Too hot! I have tried this several times since purchasing it. Every time, my meal was dried out and burned...even when I only had it on low for a few hours. Today is the last straw! Warming my stuffing in it to leave more room in my oven for other things. After 2 hours on low, my stuffing is burned on the bottom and sides. Guests arriving for Thanksgiving in 2 hours. I am NOT thankful for this appliance! This thing is going in the trash! November 28, 2013

Rated 4 out of 5 by ChefMelanie Works great - but holds 4.5 quarts, not 5 I have enjoyed using this Crock Pot for the past couple of years. I like doing the prep & clean-up early in the day, then enjoying the cooking aromas throughout the day, or getting that first whiff of something good when I come home after being out for a while. Then at dinner time, I just need to clean up the ceramic insert (easy to do) and perhaps a couple pots used to make the sides. The Crock Pot is easy to use. I find that I can usually get away with using the minimum cook time in a recipe. One thing to note about this model is that it does not hold a full 5 quarts. I thought something might be off when I made a pasta sauce recipe that yielded 12 cups/3 quarts, and the insert was pretty full. I filled up a quart-size measuring cup with water to see how much the insert actually held, and at 4.5 quarts, the insert was filled to the brim. I'm looking for a 1.5 quart slow cooker and it doesn't look like the Crock Pot brand makes this size. November 7, 2013
Rated 1 out of 5 by Kathleen Doesn't get hot I bought this at Costco because I thought (based on my last, now dead, CrockPot) that it would be good. First I tried cooking a pot roast. I've been cooking for many years, so I know how to do it, and I followed the directions. It never got tender enough to chew. Even the vegetables only got tender after about 12 hours of cooking. But I thought, maybe the meat was just exceptionally tough. Then I cooked pinto beans. It took 20 hours, as opposed to my old crockpot, which would do it in 6 to 14 hours, depending on how it felt on that given day. Finally, I tried it with soup (using the meat and vegetables from the first, unsuccessful, try with the pot roast. Another 24 hours later, it was ready to eat. I checked the temperature after it had cooked on "HIGH" for 6 hours and it was 190 degrees F. This is not a slow cooker, it's a no cooker. January 17, 2014
