The Best Slow-Cooked Salmon Recipe

Maple Salmon
Lime juice and maple syrup give these salmon fillets the perfect touch of sweetness and zest to accompany the subtle flavors of the fish. This dish is made complete when served over slow-cooked orzo.

Ingredients:

  • 6 salmon fillets (fresh or frozen)
  • 1/2 cup maple syrup
  • 1/8 cup lime juice
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 2 teaspoons crushed garlic
  • 1 teaspoon minced ginger root

Directions

  1. In a medium mixing bowl, combine maple syrup, lime juice, soy sauce, crushed garlic and minced ginger root.
  2. Use a Crock-Pot® Slow Cooker Liner.
  3. Place salmon fillets in slow cooker.
  4. Pour sauce over top.
  5. Cover and cook on HIGH for 1 hour, or 2 hours if using frozen salmon.

Slow-Cooked Orzo
Pair your maple salmon dish with this hearty orzo recipe for a complete and tasty meal.

Ingredients:

  • 2 cups orzo
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon pepper
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 2 cups frozen vegetables of your choice
  • 2 cups chicken broth
  • 2 cups orzo

Directions

  1. Combine orzo, salt, pepper, garlic and vegetables in your slow cooker.
  2. Cover with chicken broth.
  3. Cover slow cooker and cook on LOW for 3 1/2 to 4 hours.
  4. Serve with maple salmon from recipe above.
