Top 3-Ingredient Chicken Recipes

Who knew making a fabulous chicken dinner could be so easy? These five recipes are wholesome, mouth-watering, slow-cooked to perfection and only require three ingredients to make! Talk about delicious convenience for the entire family. Creamy Taco Chicken
This zesty Mexican chicken can be served in hard or soft shell tortillas, over nachos or on its own. It even makes great leftovers!

Ingredients:

  • 1 can diced tomatoes with chiles
  • 3 chicken breasts, boneless and skinless
  • 1/2 block of cream cheese (4 ounces).

Directions

  1. Add the tomatoes and chicken breasts to your slow cooker.
  2. Cook on low for 6 to 8 hours.
  3. 30 minutes before it's done, use a tong or fork to stir and shred the chicken.
  4. Then add cream cheese, but do not stir.
  5. Let it sit for remaining 1/2 hour and then stir together.
  6. Serve warm with tortillas and any additional toppings desired.

Sweet and Sour Chicken
If you're looking to spice up the classic chicken dish this week, try this simple recipe for sweet and sour chicken.

Ingredients:

  • 1 bag frozen chicken breasts, thawed and diced
  • 1 jar chili sauce
  • 1 jar apricot pineapple preserves.

Directions

  1. Add chicken to the bottom of your slow cooker.
  2. In a bowl, combine the chili sauce and fruit preserves.
  3. Pour over chicken and mix to combine.
  4. Cover and cook on high for 2 to 3 hours.
  5. Serve hot over steamed rice or pasta.

Shredded Barbeque Chicken
This recipe for shredded barbeque chicken is best served on slider buns, but also pairs well with grilled vegetables or over a salad.

Ingredients:

  • 3 to 4 pounds chicken breasts
  • 1/4 cup light brown sugar
  • 1 bottle barbeque sauce.

Directions

  1. Add chicken to the bottom of your slow cooker.
  2. In a bowl combine the brown sugar and barbeque sauce and add about 1 cup of water.
  3. Pour over the chicken.
  4. Cover and cook on high for 6 hours, until chicken is cooked through.
  5. Remove chicken, shred it completely and return it to the slow cooker.
  6. Serve hot on slider buns and enjoy!

Pesto Chicken
The rich and flavorful pesto-seasoned chicken is great over a bed of Italian noodles, but is tasty enough to enjoy on its own as well.

Ingredients:

  • 4 chicken breasts, skinless and boneless
  • 1 packet dry ranch seasoning mix
  • 1 cup pesto.

Directions

  1. Place chicken breasts in the bottom of your slow cooker.
  2. Sprinkle ranch seasoning on top.
  3. In a small bowl whisk pesto with 1 cup of water.
  4. Pour over chicken.
  5. Cover and cook on low for 2 to 3 hours or on high for 4 to 5 hours.
  6. 15 minutes before serving, stir chicken and sauce to coat.
  7. Sprinkle with Parmesan cheese if desired before serving.

Ingredients:

  • 4 to 6 chicken breasts, boneless and skinless
  • 1 packet onion soup mix
  • 1 can cream of mushroom soup.

Directions

  1. Place chicken breasts in the bottom of your slow cooker.
  2. Sprinkle onion soup mix on top.
  3. Spoon cream of mushroom soup over the chicken.
  4. Cover and cook on low for 4 to 6 hours.
  5. Remove chicken, shred completely.
  6. Serve warm.
